No, really. I obviously didn't pay enough attention to the measurements when I ordered it, so when when it arrived and she opened it, she asked why I'd ordered a scarf. So now she wants the red one! It's a nice little double-length kitchen towel if you want it for that. (I picked it out as an extra hand towel for the bathroom.) I guess it could work as the hair towel it says it is, but it seems thin for that purpose. I really have to go with what she's calling it, an excellent scarf. And yes, it is a jacquard weave, `though subtle; perhaps it will became more pronounced after going through a wash cycle. These "bath towels" are not great, as the fabric is very thin and has barely any substance, it feels like loose threads everywhere and you can get hung up on a ring or similar with this "towel". I bought it in all 3 colors, red, black and green, one each. I'm in the process of washing them all on cold gentle cycle and hang to dry. They come out ok, a bit wrinkled as it's a linen cotton mix, but nothing serious. The one thing that is bothersome is the "jacquard" style fabric, it really does not absorb water very well at all. It does look like curtain material. I want to use these "towels" for my hair only, and they're the perfect size for that, and with the linen mix it will dry a bit faster than pure cotton. But due to the thinness off the towel, it doesn't absorb much. Works well for holding up your hair though! The price is cheap, but I would not purchase them again, but invest more money into a better quality towel. Read more

Worst towel ever. I wrapped it around my wet hair and drops of water flowed right through it. Rubbing my wet head did absolutely nothing. It left my hair sopping wet. Don't waste your money. Read more
