I live in an area that has pretty hard water so we tend to get iron stains on toilets and shower bases often. I wanted to give this cleaner a try to see if it was more effective in ridding my surfaces of the hard water stains. I found the product to be easy to use but didn’t see any improvements from my usual bathroom cleaners. I liked the crevice brush that was provided, it made getting the shower door track clean a breeze. The mesh cloth was also a nice bonus, it did a good job of scrubbing the hard water deposits off of my glass shower doors while being gentle. In my opinion, this is a comprehensive cleaning set. The cleaning powder came with a thin brush and a wash net. It claims to be a multi-purpose cleaner. So I tried on my stainless steel kitchen sink and ceramic bathroom sink. Since this is supposed to clean, both came out clean. But I believe it does a slightly better job of cleaning my ceramic sink than the stainless steel. I know this since after using it on my ceramic sink, the stains came out. There is a slight smell, but since I used it when the window was open, it didn't bother me as much. I like it, but it's pricey, and the reason for my four star rating. I have a relatively clean house and don't need to ask a lot from cleaning products but I do have a thin mineral ring in several of my toilets and it tends to catch stuff and then stain. I have tried everything I can think of but can never fully remove it. I had hopes for this product. I drained the bowl and sprinkled the product directly on the ring and then rubbed in with the metallic looking cloth. Not much happened so I tried the brush. Still nothing so I let it sit while I showered. It took a little bit of the stain out but that's about it. The best thing I've found to reduce the ring and staining is Barkeepers Friend and some elbow grease, which is much cheaper than this set, so I'll stick with that. Read more
