The design is very nice and isn't in your face and doesn't call attention to it, even if people do see it, the minty green is really nice. It's very aesthetically pleasing and a great finish of semi matte. The lid opening and closing is very smooth and you can pull back on it a bit to lock it open. It's very easy to clean if anything spills because the internal container is removable and smooth plastic. There's a rubber retention holder for the bags so they don't just fly off when you put something in it. The inside has no bottom so if something spills over, it's very easy to clean as well. The outer metal material is sturdy and the black plastic bin is made of thick plastic. Overall, it still works and we only use it to throw away dry trash in our bedroom. Great for small spaces. We are very happy with this slim stainless steel trash can that comes in a pretty shade of sea foam green.
