Really pretty and flattering! I love the deep purple color. I ordered the recommended size, and it's just too loose through the shoulders and bust. I've ordered the next size smaller, which is my usual size. This is for a holiday party, and will be perfect once I have the right size. The velvet is stretchy, and should be worn snug for the best fit. It covers well, the fabric is good quality. Usually, velvet or velour is sewn with the nap going down the garment, but this is sewn with the nap going up. The waist piece is cut with the nap going side to side, which isn't typical. The style of the dress is flattering and tucks in at my waist. The length is perfect for me, but might be too short on a tall person. Read more

I’ll start with the positive. The fabric was lovely, rich, heavy velvet, and I loved the color and feel of it. The length and fit were also both as expected for a size medium. However, the lining of the bodice made for an odd line along the bust. Additionally, I had expected top to be a true crossover and so foldable for nursing/breastfeeding, but it was not. It is all one piece and not stretchy along the neckline. This breastfeeding piece was key for me, but, even if not, I would not have kept the dress due to the odd line created by the lining in the bust. Read more

Not sure why they call this a vintage look because I don’t really see “vintage” in the look of the dress. It fit amazing for a plus size woman, had stretch, was a great length and the sleeves hit and fit just right. It is so hard to find a dress for plus size that isn’t sleeveless, has a slit to show everything, is too short, shows every roll, etc and this dress hit all the boxes I was looking for. The teal/peacock color was stunning. I bought to wear to stand in a wedding, however, my son thought the look was too formal compared to what the 69 year old bride was wearing. I ended up returning and bought something more simple. However, I did absolutely love this dress and would have kept but knew that I would not be going anywhere that I would be able to wear it, especially since I live in Florida. Received a returned item. Covered in lint and animal hair. The dress itself is ok. The color is beautiful. The cut is flattering for my mom bod. This particular item looks to have been repacked with zipper undone. It's as if someone did a mass purchase of try and returns, but they let their animal roll around all over it. Someone made a bad call thinking this article could be sold as new. If you don't want to wear a dirty, returned item, give yourself time to buy ahead as an event clothing purchase.
