I love the quality of this vest. While it's lined, it's not a heavy lining- more for comfort. The zip-off hood really sold me on the vest, and all the zippers work smoothly. There are lots of pockets (love!). I normally wear a large but bought XL due to a larger chest and broad shoulders. I'm glad I did, as it gives me room to wear heavy clothing underneath, which I don't think would be possible with a large. The only drawback to buying a size up is a little extra fabric around the arm holes. If it bothers me, I'll have it tailored, and I won't mind the cost a bit- because this is going to quickly become a wardrobe staple! It's perfect for travel (which is why I bought it) and will look trendy with a scarf. Purchased this vest about a month ago. You never know when buying articles of clothing online, but I have to say the quality, fit and color are superb! I work as a civilian qin IT on a military base. Was searching for something that checked all the boxes for style and function. The green color is wonderful, the hardware looks cute and the hood is a great touch! Very happy with my purchase; am getting lots of compliments! Have referred several ladies to this site. Will be purchasing another as backup in green and one in the wine, too. Returned another I had ordered that cost over $130.00 which although good qualty, just missed the mark somehow. Came back to shop on Amazon, found this vest and decided to purchase one. I just received the navy version of this vest and was so excited because I'm leaving on Monday to fly out to Oregon. Delivery was perfect --- very fast! I opened the package and was very pleased with the overall quality of the vest. The zipper functioned quite well and the snaps seemed sturdy plus it was lightly line and with a removeable hood! Then I tried the vest on. Oops! It was supposed to have a bust measurement of 50+ inches, but I couldn't close it at all. I'm size 42DD and thought that the XXL should fit me fine in that area --- but it didn't. And there was another fit issue. The cinching cord was at least 4-5 inches above my waistline. I wouldn't cinch it much, but the placement was odd. Even after losing the 10-15 lbs I've struggled with, the vest would still be too high-waisted. Too bad. I really liked it. Read more

The color is way off compared to the picture. The picture shows a nice muted army green color. What I received is a very bright army green. I can’t even believe I associated the word bright with army green. That aside, the quality and feel of the garment is nice. It also fits true to size. Read more

I was nervous purchasing this because I wasn’t 100% on the size. I ended up getting a large (which is my normal size) and it fit great. Perfect length and that material is very sturdy feeling. Like you wound expect a military type jacket to feel with a little more movement. The strings to cinch the waist part are a little long but it’s not anything I really notice much.
