This thing is great. I hung it in the garage. The kids can use it on the lower hooks. I used some Spax power lags to install the hooks, and the thing is solid. I had to install a couple 2x4 cross members since it was installed on bare studs, you can see in the pictures, and it works well. I was a little concerned that the foam on the hand grips would break down quickly, but after months of regular use, they still look like new. I now can do pullups with various hand positions, dips, and leg raises. I also wrap a stretch band around it to do face pulls. This is a sturdy an versatile piece of equipment. Read more
Reasonably priced and more than sturdy enough for my use. Despite missing lag screws and joist installation instructions, it still took less than 30 minutes to install using .5 x 1.5 lag screws in holes I pre-drilled and a ratchet with a 9/16 socket. Read more
Very impressed with steel stock quality; with welding quality; with factory seams alignment; with provided assembly tools/bolts/etc. I wouldn't depend on it in actual combat, but for intended use, this is TonkaTough. Highly recommend sorting assembly bolts, nuts, hex wrenches, etc, and taking a moment to match each with slot/tube/hole/part into which it goes, as your 1st step; won't take but a few moments, and it'll smooth assembly greatly, lol. Once done w that parts familiarization , assembly is so easy just one glance at instruction diagrams was enough for this 60+ foghead.! Total assembly time, box opening to tools down: 30 mins or less. Only tools needed for assembly of unit itself is a wrench, one is provided but yours will be much better for sure. Seller includes 2 different size allen hex wrenches, also; these are quite usable. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Wall support beams are always the same length apart and this thing barely meets its minimum. Then support bracket screws have to be beat in then pulled out a bit just to meet the washer and nut; if you dont strip it. Now it's forking up there and the pull up bar itself isnt even close to flush to get it secured to the darn bracket. Again, its support brackets were measured to the bar prior and barely meeting the minimum to meet the walls support beams and even so dont fit flush to screw on securely. Additionally, there is no grip on the handle portion of the bar. This isnt going to work and the design sucks! Read more
This product came quick and had all of the parts. It's perfect for me. I was nervous about it fitting on my indoor wall, but I was able to mount it to the studs. My husband was nervous about it holding his weight but it did without any issues. The welds were done very well. The pads could be bigger, but they do the job. Read more
I've wanted a pull-up/dip station for some time. Not having a lot of room, I opted for a wall-mount version. This one is sturdy and seems to be fairly well made. HOWEVER - the instructions were a joke. The only instructions included were about the assembly of the unit. It was a poorly translated, one-sided sheet with a few pictures and text that made little sense. The translations (I assume from Chinese) were amusing at best. The picture of all the parts didn't match what was actually shipped with the unit. I ended up throwing away 8 weird bolts and two couplings that didn't seem to have any use. My biggest complaint is that there WERE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON MOUNTING IT TO THE WALL! Of all things to leave out. Lucky for me, I'm good with construction projects. This left me to figure out - how high to mount the two sets of wall hooks, how far apart, etc. This lack of wall mounting information for a device that is to be mounted safely on a wall is inexcusable.
