this mat is super thick and feels similar to memory foam, the kind that you can press your hand down onto and see a slight imprint, but the hand print quickly disappears. So, perhaps a resilient mat ;) Honestly, I have a Manduka yoga professional mat, which I adore, however, it is quite thin and didn't offer the support or cushioning needed for let's say 8 count abs on beach body or 80 day obsession core work, etc. This mat is exactly what I wanted, a mat that is soft, thick, and provides a lot of cushioning...I have a bony body and was getting bruised whenever doing core work using a regular yoga mat, so it has been pretty nice having the extra support. The only thing about this mat is, it feels like a half size mat as it is half the size of my yoga mat. However, I am thinking this is due to the mat being more suited for core work and not really yoga. All in all, this is a great quality mat. I am happy with this purchase, regardless of it being a tad bit shorter than I would have liked, but at the end of the day, the pros outweigh the one slight con, so I still rated this with 5 stars Read more

There are several yoga mats to consider when doing an at home exercise program. At the time I bought this, it was only $30, so I decided to give it a try. When I first opened it, the first thing I noticed was the smell. It had a strong chemical odor to it. But wanting to give it a try, I toughed out through the smell. I used this first for power 90, noticing that it moves very slightly when you're stretching, but it wasn't as bad as the throw rug I used before. When I did cardio 3-4, it seemed to fuel my legs, the yoga mat absorbed all of the pressure from my running lunges and made me bounce right into another one. It actually made me exhausted at first, because this yoga mat helped me go so fast, I was doubling what Tony Horton was doing! After power 90, I saw fantastic results (especially since I was considered obese before doing it and lost 20 pounds after only 2 months), so I decided to put my yoga mat (and my body =P) to the test by purchasing Insanity. (If you buy insanity buy it off of teambeachbody.com, its cheaper than amazon and they give you a bonus free workout that otherwise you would pay $20 for) Although I haven't officially began it yet ( on account of getting a nasty cold) I did a few workouts and the yoga mat held its own, even on the pounds of sweat I was pouring on it. In conclusion its a great solution for anyone who works out on a wood or tiled floor as long as you can deal with the smell the first few weeks. Pros: - Great for jumping (helps joints) - Sturdy almost rubber like - Hard to damage - Cheap Cons: - Moves slightly when stretching - God awful smell the first few weeks - A little too small ( hard to do push ups on) Read more
My mat arrived and is a perfect size- I love it! It has just the right amount of cushion. It goes perfect with the BODi workouts because it is shorter. I found the normal size yoga mats were just long and got in the way. Read more
Perfect mat to compliment your workout routine. I used to double over my yoga mat to get sufficient padding, but this is so much better and more convenient to just pull out from under the couch. Great for making surrenders, push-ups, etc. more comfortable for your hands and knees. Works well for mat work as well. It is shorter than a yoga mat (about 1/2 the length), so just note that when purchasing. Read more
I have a love- hate relationship with beachbody/ BODI. This mat is cushy- and is good for when you need padding under your knees. It is really short though- and I am 5'5"... so not even that tall. It also slips around a lot while working out which is frustrating. Ended up returning. Read more
I love this mat, wish I could buy it directly though a BODi rep. Read more
