Softer feel, helpful lines
This is almost too soft to use on carpet, and it feels great to use on hard floors. I got this specifically for the alignment guide line, and the mandala design is your center point. It's slip resistant enough, I've never had the downward dog slip, like older material mats used to do. Tip: after first use, roll it the opposite way when not in use, and it helps it lay flatter faster. Read more
Lightweight...but odd texture
I'm giving the product a 3.5. Liked: the little bit of extra length and thickness, plus the fact that it's lightweight and made in the U.S. Disliked: the color--as I think another reviewer mentioned, the "dark purple" is not! It's a much lighter shade and not what I was expecting. Plus the underside was pink (yuck). And the texture of the mat is different (smoother) than what I'm used to...my hands feel like they slip a tiny bit. The jury is still out on if I like it or not. But I'm too lazy to send it back! Great mat, great price!
I've been doing yoga for 20 years. This mat has a great feel, nice and long, not too thick. (I don't like thick cushiony mats.) The center line is perfect for alignment. It would be nice if it were wider, but that's a very minor point. I definitely recommend this! Read more
Excellent and Comfortable for Yoga, Stretching
Great for a regular yoga practice, this mat is a very nice color and length, helpful for someone taller like myself. I like the mandala pattern as well, it isn't overdone. The material feels nice and as though it should last for a long time and the mat is lighter than some other mats that I've used (esp for the size). No issues with grip or discomfort. Product seems great, wrong color sent twice
I very much like the natural materials and eco-friendly production of this yoga mat. Unfortunately, I have been sent the same wrong color twice now. I wrote in my second comment that if the color I'm requesting (dark purple) is unavailable, please just let me know. (I am happy to select a color that appeals to me rather than the one they keep trying to pawn off on me.) My comment was auto-deleted before I could finish the return information! It looks like the universe is guiding me to shop locally rather than take leftover colors shipped from a distance. Read more
Not grippy - weird texture
It’s a good size and the thickness of the mat was what really intrigued me. However, i cannot use this mat for anything that isn’t floor or standing based. I slip and slide on this mat just trying to do down dog because my hands cannot catch a grip at all. Even tried with grippy yoga socks to no avail. Do not recommend. Read more
