I work nights as a nurse and as you can imagine I am always looking for solutions for sleeping better during the day. I’ve been having a hard time sleeping for a few weeks and I’m usually not one for sleep masks or anything but I came across this one and decided to give it a try. It is nicely weighted and very comfortable and gave me the extra relaxation I needed to help get to sleep. Felt like my own little spa experience! It blocks out the light and stays put through the night too! Haven’t needed to wash it yet but it feels well made and like it’ll hold up great. It’s cooling too! I had a headache the other night and put it in the freeze and it really helped me feel better! It even had a cute little canvas storage bag for freezing or travel. I have never been a fan of sleep masks as I have always found them uncomfortable and hot. Due to my brain not ever wanting to shut down for rest thanks to my Multiple Sclerosis my doctor strongly recommended I look into using a sleep mask. I tried dozens and none of them were comfortable or cooling regardless of how much or how little I paid for the mask. I don't know what magic is in this sleep mask but it is so soft, comfortable, and soothing (I throw it in my freezer before bed for a nice cooling feeling). It fits my larger sized head without pinching my head or ears. And as a really rough sleeper who tosses and turns due to chronic pain and insomnia this mask stayed in place every single night. Love this eye mask. The weight is just right to help me sleep, and it completely blocks out all light. The straps in the back keep it securely on without cutting into my head or catching my hair. The only problem, and the reason I took off a star, is that it can get quite warm. I wish it had a different filling, or maybe that the outside was something better at cooling (silk? Tencel?). I truly love this eye pillow! It's soooo soft to the touch, comfortable when I'm wearing it, and the gentle weighted pressure is perfect to help my tired eyes after a long day in front of a computer screen. I am more than pleased with the outcome of this purchase. The eye mask material is incredible soft and comfortable. There is a padding between the outer fabric and the inside weighted clay that makes the whole mask feel almost like a small pillow for your eyes. The color is all very nice and true to the photos. What has most surprised me, however, is how the mask helps me sleep! It's like retreating your own personal relaxation pod at the end of a long day.
