I LOVE THESE SHOES! These were a little pricier than your typical Amazon shoe with a brand I’ve never heard of, but I loved the look and the reviews were good, so I thought I’d try them. Worth. Every. Penny. From the style to the fit and quality, they’re perfect. The color is the perfect brown, not too light or dark. The leather is surprisingly nice…they definitely don’t look cheap. The sole is very chunky (I would’ve liked a little less height on them, but it looks great), but oddly light and the supportive with a very squishy insole. They run true to size. I don’t have wide feet per se, but my feet are square shaped, so I do better with a wider toe box like this shoe has. They were comfortable right out of the box, and looked like a classic Oxford, but slightly funkified and a little cooler. Very comfortable for a slightly wide foot! I compare these to shoes costing twice the price, similar to michael kors, for example. These fit better in the toe box for me. The arch support is fairly good, not the very best but good enough for a day on my feet. The sole is giving enough to last the day too. The heel is a little soft and I didn't want it deformed, so I put them on with a shoehorn. My son said they are goth, but I'll wear them as business casual instead of a heel to keep my pants off the ground (I'm 59). I bought the brown oxfords also, same great fit! After reading reviews I took a chance. These brown lace up loafers arrived very quickly. Packaged not in a box but in a bag--kinda strange. But all was well and shoes are really nice. I am quite high maintenance and these are more than acceptable. I ordered my normal size 7 and fits perfect. Light weight but sturdy. Comfy insoles. Pleased! Now fast forward.... I was so pleased I ordered the same exact lace up loafers in black. Huge problems in shipping and did not receive because they apparently were not shippable. Probably something with the bag the shoes are shipped in?? They were sent back to the company. Now waiting several days for the black pair and seem to be lost AGAIN!! I purchased my usual size and they fit perfectly. I have thinner feet and narrow heels. But I don't have a problem with heels slipping out in part due to tightening the laces. They are generous in the space at the front of the shoe. My feet float around a bit, but is better than too tight. I have been wearing these shoes with trouser socks but have had some pain with the leather in the back cutting into my ankles. I have a leather softening product so I will apply that product and wear thicker socks for a while. This is a very high quality product. I think the price is a bargain considering the quality.
