So funny. I wanted GOLD boots. But in the picture this didn't look gold enough but the heel was right. So I ordered two, this and another boot that looked more gold than this but the heel was higher than I wanted but I figured, if the color is perfect, I'll keep it. The other one arrived and was hardly gold AT ALL A mix of gold and silver. King of like a champagne. BUT THIS BABY RIGHT HERE....was EXACTLY what I needed and it's more gold than the picture. Go figure. Happy I took a chance on both and found the perfect pair. THIS ONE. My husband's office's Christmas party is Friday. I'm happy. Just keep in mind it's a bit more gold than in the photo ad. I can’t wait to pair these with a pair of black tights and a dress. These square toe boots are better than advertised. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9.5. They fit great! They have plenty of room in the toe box and do not rub or pinch my toes. They also do not slip on my heel. They are also tall, coming right to the bottom of my knees. I am 5’7 so this was a pleasant surprise. I have average sized calves and have plenty of room. The zipper is on the inside of each boot and goes halfway up the boot. Zipper performed fine and did not get stuck. My foot easily slid into the boot. Can be worn with or without socks or tights. The heel is a nice short block heel. These boots can easily be dressed up or down. The outside is a faux leather but does not have a smell. There is a nice styrofoam foot shaped insert inside each boot which ensures the boots come to you without toe creases or folds. Overall, I like these boots and will have to get out of my comfort zone as I’ve never worn square toes before. I think they look good and will be a good quality dress boot for years to come.
