Sturdy quality.

Great quality. My bed headboard frame is very heavy wood and is square. So headboard posts don’t fit in the cup. But it still seems to work well. The footboard posts do fit nicely. White color makes it Easy to see bugs and spiders etc. Helps to slide the bed also. Read more

They met my expectations

Alan Lee StarrMay 4, 2022✓ Verified purchase

These are advertised as interceptors and that's what they are, so don't expect anything else. I have found that the trick to dealing with bed bugs is to break the cycle of growth / reproduction. They cannot molt or lay eggs without feeding first, so I try to prevent them from feeding. These interceptors will prevent bed bugs from crawling up to your bed from the floor and that's a beginning to breaking the cycle. They're big enough to support most bed feet without being annoying; they're strong enough to support a great deal of weight. In other words, as advertised. One star was deducted because I only received 7 pieces (but I only needed 6). I complement these things with the following (note that I have hardwood floors and five cats): 1) I spray the outside edges of the floor and the baseboards with EcoRaider 2) After the above dries, sprinkle the edges of the floor, inside these interceptors and under furniture with diatomaceous earth 3) Wash all bed linens in hot water 4) Spray the mattress and box spring with EcoRaider (i.e. the little darlings are probably nesting inside them) 5) Wrap the mattress and box spring in bedbug-proof encasements, which are sprayed with EcoRaider 6) Spray all bed linens with EcoRaider. I do so until everything is quite damp (damp but not soaked) 7) Repeat spraying all bed linens every two days for at least two weeks 8) Ensure that nothing from the bed (e.g. a quilt or blanket or the underside of a box spring encasement) touches the floor 9) Throw the pillows in the dryer on high for one hour daily for at least two weeks. If your pillows are down, that will likely ruin them. 10) Vacuum daily and dispose of the vacuum contents. ** The aforementioned works for me but may not for you. I use EcoRaider because a. It works (i.e. I don't get bedbug bites); b. it's non-toxic; c. the cats hate the smell and stay out of the room. On the negative side: a. I don't like its strong smell of cedar and eucalyptus; b. it's expensive and you're going to need a lot of it. Read more

Helpful part of an eradication plan

Loon PottsSeptember 29, 2024✓ Verified purchase

Thanks to a hoarder neighbor who drags in furniture off of the street, my apartment and several of my neighbor’s apartments got bed bugs. Don’t kid yourself. Bed bugs are really hard to get rid of. REALLY HARD. If you can afford killing them with heat, that is the best way. But if you can’t, here’s what I did: These traps work well IF you put diatomaceous earth in them before you put them under your furniture. Bed bugs infest your furniture by climbing up the legs. The traps have a channel in which most of the bugs get trapped. But sometimes they are able to climb out of that channel and into the center cup, where they can access your furniture legs. Diatomaceous earth stops them. Not sure how it kills them, but I’ve witnessed them flopping around in it and dying. I invested in a tiny steamer, which didn’t really help. Perhaps had I more money to spend, a better quality steamer might do the trick. And the steam made my bed wet. Not ideal. So, furniture isolated from the floor with traps, and pulled away from the walls, I then started spraying. I tried some stuff which cost about $17 a bottle.24 oz, maybe. I can’t remember. It smelled horrible and frankly, didn’t work all that well. I spent $60 for a gallon of Harris Bed Bug Killer. It kills the eggs, which is key. Don’t kill the eggs, the bugs hatch and your furniture is reinfested. Also, it doesn’t smell, so when you go to bed you won’t feel like you’re sleeping in a chemical plant. All the other stuff applies; get junk and/or clothing up off of the floor. Pull heavy furniture like dressers and book cases out, vacuum, and spray under them. Don’t forget the baseboard, and any electrical outlets. Go through your home and vacuum, then spray. Empty the vacuum into a plastic bag, tie it and take it out to the trash. Wash your clothing and bedding in hot water. I’ve not seen any bugs in my dresser, so so far I haven’t felt the need to pull everything out & spray. I’ll update this review if I feel I need to do that. Be patient. It takes some time to eradicate the bugs. They hide. My fabric chair was particularly difficult. I had to get deep into the seams and places where the fabric puckers. Sticky tape can be helpful in those areas, then spray. And of course, your neighbors have to do it as well, or a whole new crop will come. Good luck! Read more

THEY WORK!!!

BunnyMay 22, 2025✓ Verified purchase

There was a bedbug infestation in the apartment adjacent to mine, and it took maintenance several attempts to get rid of them! Meanwhile I was suffering, waking up with at least 10 new bites every morning, no matter what I did! I tried poisons, traps, nets, tents! But bedbugs are small, resilient, and flexible. I even started throwing away furniture and belongings and replacing them with plastic, which I hated doing! These were the last things I bought because I really didn’t expect them to work! Not only did they work, but they SOLVED THE PROBLEM! No chemicals, no effort beyond setting them up. Maintenance finally defeated them next door, and these suckers took care of the stragglers in my apartment— before they could start a new infestation over here!!! See the photo I’ve attached, caught in one of the bed legs by my head, a male, female, and their offspring!!! Trapped and starved them to death before they could wreak havoc on my mental and physical well being, my wallet, and belongings. Read more

Skip it. No Bug settings, hard to place.

Description is mis-leading. For mice and rats only, not bugs. Really Cheaply made. Weighs nothing, and gets knocked off target area easily. One mode you can select is great for driving human beings away. Can't see the purpose of it. Wouldn't buy it again. Read more
