I don't usually write reviews, but after using this waver I immediately decided to write a review. This is hands down the best styling tool I have ever used on my hair!!! It is idiot proof. I have watched you tube videos on how to use a curling iron and I simply don't have the patience to learn the technique. I saw friend of mine the other day and her hair had the prettiest waves. I asked her how she did it, and she told me she used the Bed Head Wave Artist and sent me a you tube video to watch. It looked easy and the price was very reasonable, so I bought it. I really did not have a lot of hope for it because I am just not patient enough to do my hair. I just used it and it has created the most beautiful waves in my hair. As far as any hair product I used with it, I had some leftover Kenra Thermal Styling Spray No 19 in it and some hair spray from this morning, but that was 15 hours ago. I am simply AMAZED at how easy it was to use!!! You don't have to have any special skill to use it. Just put your hair between it, wait about 10 seconds, release your hair, and move down the strand until you get to the bottom. Then move onto the next one. It has a high, med, and low heat setting, and I used the medium. The whole process took about 30 minutes. I have never been able to make my hair look this. My hair is thick, but fine. Because it is fine, I have always had trouble making it curl or wave. Well, this styler did it. I am not sure how long it will last, but I will report back if I can figure out how to edit this review to add that information. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Edited to Add: I washed my hair and used the waver the next morning. I sprayed Kenra #6 Dry Texture Spray on my hair. Then I took sections of my hair and used the waver. After I finished all my hair, I sprayed it again with the Kenra Spray. My hair has never held curl that I have put in it with a curling iron for more than 2 hours, but these waves held all day long! Even after sleeping on my hair all night, I still had some waves the next day. They were not as pronounced, but they were there. I cannot get over effective this tool is on my fine hair. The only problem I had was the location of the on/off button. I accidentally turned the waver off while using it, but if you will just placed your fingers on the indicated location on the tool, you won't turn it off. I got this waver after trying my friend’s, and I loved the effect! The curls come out deep and beachy, and they hold really well, especially if you use a little hairspray on each section as you style (which is what I did in the photo I shared). Size & design: It’s slimmer than a lot of other wavers I’ve seen, which makes it easier to handle overall, but it is a bit on the heavy side. My arm does get tired doing my whole head. I also wish the grip, especially around the thumb area, was a bit more comfortable but honestly for the price I can’t complain too much because the waves look amazing. Heat control: It heats up super quickly, which is great when you’re in a rush! The only downside is that the temperature is adjusted with a scroll dial and there isn’t a way to see the exact temp or lock it in place. My tip: start on the lower end and work your way up to avoid frying your hair. Portability: Love that it has a locking mechanism for the barrel when it’s not in use. It makes it so much easier to pack, and the barrel itself isn’t bulky, so it fits nicely in a suitcase. Overall: I definitely recommend this waver if you want effortless, long-lasting waves. Just buy it! I bought this for my daughter and tried it myself last night, my hair was so wavy and it took me 5 minutes. That’s a lot to say for my hair since my hair is so long. Temp worked great and the waves lasted all night and were still wavy in the morning. Read more

This isn't just a great value. I've tried so many crimpers, fancy, expensive, popular, trendy. None top this one. You get the best crimp. If you want looser waves hold it for less time. I can do my whole head in 5 minutes. Its so fast. The colors are cute. It works great. It has auto shut off and temperature control. Clearly im a fan. But after leaving mine behind at my sister in-laws house 6 hours alway and trying multiple one im buy the new green color. My 3rd bed head crimper. Read more

After almost six years and almost daily use my Bed Head Wave Artist finally broke. This has been my favorite hair tool to use for years. It gives me the volume I want and has gotten me so many compliments on my hair. It’s also overall quicker for me to use than a regular curler. Sure it takes a bit to heat up, and the temperature wheel on the side of mine got stuck after about five years, but it’s a great product overall. Immediately bought another after it completely broke.
