I purchased these in the black, which are more like brownish/black, which is perfectly ok with me because it has a rustic look to it and it makes them more versatile. I listened to the other reviewers that said they run small, so I purchased a half a size up and they were too big on me. I exchanged them for my normal size 6 1/2 and they fit much better. They felt a little tight in the toe area at first but as I wore them they stretched out. They are well made great quality leather that you can smell as soon as you open the box. I love these shoes! I danced in them all night long. Bed Stu keeps impressing me. There shoes look great and I can move around in them with comfort and ease. Fit is true to size.. Shipping time very good, packaging very good as well. Haven’t had much cool weather to use them here in NC, so, I can’t give an opinion about walking outside for any period of time to really test them out .My hunch is that they will pass quite well. I love the style of these booties. I had spent quite some time researching before I finally settled on these, and I am glad I did. Others reviews got me to Frye and these. Lovely boots, nice quality, soft leather. I wear a 7.5-8 and usually an 8 in Bed Stu; ordered an 8 and they fit nicely. I have wide feet and a bunion on one foot and the toe box felt snug on that foot but I could tell it would have stretched out nicely. Four stars because the black boots are as brown as they are black due to the worn-out look of Bed Stu. I returned them because I really need a black pair and these are definitely not a true black. The shoe fits nicely. I order a half size bigger and probably could've gone with my regular size. The shoe fits loose in my opinion, but I still give it 5 stars as it fits comfortably, just not a snug fit. Read more

Breautiful boot! Exactly what I wanted and antisipated. I would, however, recommend going up half a size. I'm usually always a 9, but a 9 in this style was just a bit too snug. On another note, the black color isn't a dark, deep black, more of a faded black/tan/brown, which I love, but if you are wanting something that's just black, maybe go with something else.
