Definitely real beeswax, smells and melts the way its suppose to.

⭐Harley_Quinn⭐—December 11, 2021βœ“ Verified purchase

I can't tell you how many times I've bought a product on Amazon that claimed to be "100% REAL beeswax" only to have to go through the inconvenience of either having to return it and, find an authentic product, and wait for it to be delivered, or end up just tossing it in the trash because it's not worth my time, the hassle, or the cost of my packaging supplies to send it back where it might be resold in the Amazon warehouse to another unsuspecting person that gets duped into believing the claim that their purchasing actually beeswax. After my experience with this product I can say that it smells, feels, and melts the way real beeswax does. I bought the white bars which won't have as strong of a yummy smell as the yellow or natural colored beeswax does, but it still had that natural aroma without any detectable chemical smell. I did a side by side comparison by duplicating the steps I took to make 2 batches of the winter paw balm I make for my dog, using a bar of this product for batch one and the same size bar I already had on hand of yellow beeswax I know is 100% Natural and authentic because its from a local bee farm (or is it bee keepers?) I used a cheese grater dedicated for shredding wax only to grate one bar of each product. The density of both products was almost equal, with my yellow wax a little more on the buttery feeling side, but the difference was almost undetectable and could be caused by the process of removing the natural color of the beeswax. I boiled 2 pots of water side by side at the same time, and placed an 8 ounce glass Mason jar will the contents of the grated wax in each pot, one of the yellow and one these bars, grated. These bars took about 6 minutes longer to melt completely than my yellow wax, but again, that could be the result of the slightly harder texture I mentioned earlier. After both waxes were fully melted I added the other ingredients of my paw balm recipe, stirring both constantly as I added the ingredients until both jars were again fully melted. Both waxes performed the same during this process and took the same amount of time to fully melt. Once fully melted I poured each jar into separate 4 oz jars and allowed to cool for 24 hours. After 24 hours I compared the consistency, texture and density of each finished product. The results were almost exactly the same with each type of wax, with my yellow wax being slightly softer slightly smoother consistency, but to no detriment to the quality of the finished product, just a slight difference in texture and malability. These results lead me to believe that this product is, or is virtually equal to the quality of 100% Natural beeswax, under the assumption that the differences I detected are the result of the color removal process required to made these bars white. HOWEVER, the fact that this product does not say "100% Natural beeswax" or have the ingredients listed anywhere on the packaging does make my question it's authenticity. After all, the packaging states this product can be used to make cosmetics and other products intended to be applied to the skin, which, correct me if I'm wrong, does require proof that the product is safe to do so by according to FDA standards requiring all ingredients to be clearly listed on the manufacturer's packaging. Also, with so many different products out there falsely claiming to be 100% beeswax while actually containing added chemicals and other undisclosed ingredients, why wouldn't you WANT to make it clear for every consumer to see if, in fact, your products is really 100% beeswax that is ultimately what consumers are looking for? The information on the packaging really does not contain any necessary information about the quality, authenticity, manufacturing process, safety, or methods of sourcing, obtaining and manufacturing the company uses to make this product. The information on the package lists the types of products beeswax is pocommonly used in making, a statement of the manufacturer's healthy eating habits and lifestyle, and a brief paragraph that ties the two together by saying the manufacturer seeks out healthy products for themselves, so now they find products that will keep us healthy to. The specific choice of wording the manufacturer chose to include on their packaging seems to me was done to avoid actually stating facts about the contents of this product and covered it up with vague and distracting details about their lifestyle that are irrelevant to the product itself, or the manufacturer is new to producing products mde available for purchase to consumers and doesn't understand the necessary product information consumers need to make an educated purchase decision when buying a new product. If I based my decision solely on the visual information provided before I bought this product, I would not believe it is authentic or actually 100% beeswax. It took a side by side real world comparison against verified natural beeswax for me to believe this product is actually 100% beeswax. So I guess the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" is the best way to describe this product. While the packaging lacks the information to instill confidence in the product or company's business ethics, my real world experience using the product showed this is in fact a high quality product. If after several applications to both human and canine skin I experience any results that would change my opinion of the quality of this product, I will be sure to update my review accordingly. Bee Wear!

JSteeleβ€”January 9, 2025βœ“ Verified purchase

Product purchased for fabric treatment. It does an excellent job of coating and repelling. It has a downside there is an odor and it made the fabric smell like urin. Not sure if this was due to having to heat and melt the wax or not. Working that out even still. So works but bee wear it may leave you with an unwanted smell. Read more

Great thread conditioner for hand-sewing!

SCβ€”December 7, 2025βœ“ Verified purchase

I do a lot of hand-sewing. This beeswax is perfect to condition my thread so it wont knot up while sewing. The bars are good quality. I cut small amounts off to bring with me when I am at appointments, out and about, etc. I just used a butter knife to cut off small piece to travel with. Would definitely recommend for anyone sewing by hand! Read more
