Beautiful color, dries faster than some w/caveat*
I purchased Beetles fast drying cream in 2 colors. The sage/mint green and brown. The slightly down side is the thickness as it comes from the bottle. It would be less messy when applying if it were just a bit thinner. It’s almost like a polish that’s been opened and used 3 times and begins to get clumpy and thick. This polish was not previously opened, it was sealed in a box and most certainly new. ABOUT THE COLORS: The sage/mint leans blue once dried with the green tones getting a bit lost. It’s still green in sunlight but when the sun goes down, under artificial light, it truly looks turquoise/green/blue. The one image I included of the sage/mint is in diffused sunlight. I really love both colors but I prefer the coffee brown (at least for a while) The shape of the bottle: it’s a bit tippy. The design is super nice but as the base of the bottle is narrow this is a recipe for disaster & means, it’s easy to knock over. The fix: I use a bit of plasticine (soft children’s modeling clay) inside a small vessel to mold around the bottle’s narrow bottom & can tilt it slightly while keeping it steady. *The caveat Yes, it dries fairly fast EXCEPT due to the thickness after just one coat it is just drying on the surface leaving a gummy under-belly. I could touch the surface lightly but ANY pressure will immediately dent into the polish leaving marks that ruin the manicure. Do not be lulled into thinking that after 30 minutes you can get the clothes out of the dryer or reach for your car keys inside your bag. Total destruction awaits. I use SecheVite speed dry top coat (which never fails to put a beautiful shine top coat while drying polish instantly.) This almost works with this polish. It dries it better than not using any SecheVite but there’s still a spongy feel that eventually goes away after 14 to 20 hours! For example, I put a second coat of the brown on last night while watching tv. I waited about 30 minutes to apply the SecheVite top coat. As expected, it was dry to touch but don’t go rearranging the silverware drawer.👀 I am a very still sleeper (phew) I successfully made it through the night without any noticeable damage. The colors are very nice. I absolutely will buy a couple more colors and look for a thinner made by Beetle that I can add to thin it a bit. The pricing is very good. It arrived as promised but I’d suggest a bubble wrap envelope instead of a big box with thick packaging paper that allows the product to drop to the boxes bottom and defeating the purpose of all that packaging.
