I finally purchased an air fryer, and the reason why I chose this Bella model is because it was reasonably priced and not too big or small - perfect for me and my hubby. The simplicity is what drew me to this model also -- time and temp only! Cleaning is a breeze too. The item is also attractive IMO and I like that there's nice color options too. So far we've tried frozen veggie gyoza (amazing), frozen tater tots (perfectly crispy and soft inside), pumpkin squash slices (yummmmmm) and toast (haha random but I was seeing if I could make a grilled cheese LOL). I have only used spray avocado oil on everything but the toast (of which I used plant based butter and wow so good will need to make garlic toast next time LOL). The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this for about a week and made all kinds of things—fresh and frozen chicken cutlets, veggies, fries, frozen Turkey burgers and even meatloaf. Makes everything nice and crispy. Simple to use. Some trial and error on cook times but it’s easy to check food part way through cooking and get the hang of it. Def does a good job and is much quieter and runs cooler that I thought it might. You can hear the sound level in the video, it’s not bad as all. It’s very easy to clean, which was a big concern for me. The rack and basket are dishwasher safe but so far all I’ve had to do is wipe with a soapy sponge and rinse. Nothing sticks to it either. It is small but I knew that. I don’t have the space for much more. For one it’s perfect and for two you can manage. For a family it would only work for small snacks and sides or else you’d have to do many small batches. I fit three chicken thighs in it, or two breasts. The meatloaf was two half lb loaves, I had to shape them weird to make them fit without touching. It also fit 1 hash brown patty and two sausage patties at once. Fits a good size portion of roasted veggies and they cook fast so doing two batches isn’t a big deal. Also made a pizza on mini naan bread that fit well. Probably could have fit 1 and a half naan if I had cut it up. Great price for this. It doesn’t have digital dials but that doesn’t matter to me and worth saving the money. One year later, the front of the pan with the handle fell off. It still works but it requires the use of gravity and some shaking to get the basket out. For the price it costed, it isn't bad. The predecessor was twice as expensive and completely stopped working within a year, while this cooks well, it's the only way I can get crispy fries and it is a perfect size for a family of 3. Your eyes will think it's too small. But it's not. I decided the first test would be nuggets since they're designed for it. And I decided to do the minimum effort so I could hit all the speed bumps right away. The instructions are almost laughably full of perfectionist effort. Like, open it half way and shake or stir for even browning. And then put it back in for another 5 min at the highest temp to finish browning. Then leave it in for 5-10 min before plating. I was like, no. 375 F and 23 minutes, a layer of nuggets (single layer fit like 12 of them!), and go. This was of course after following the instructions for first use (washing, drying). They came out super crispy and a little dry, but the centers were still juicy. I also didn't add any extra oil. No problem. This made nuggets crisper, juicier inside, and with better browning flavor than any toaster oven or any small oven like my Ninja countertop oven. And it did it way faster. If it just did that, it would be worth it. But it comes with recipes and it will probably bring french fries back into my life. I have Celiac so french fries are pretty much super rare. Unless I'm willing to double process deep fry them, I don't get any proper ones. Oven fries are kinda meh, but I've tried. Roasted potatoes are about my only joy. Or straight baked potatoes. I look forward to experiment 2, the fries. I wonder if I can come up with a way to cook a hot dog and fries for the same length of time? Lazy? Ha, yeah. That's kinda the point. It seems easy enough to clean. I think the silicone feet of the rack will likely end up clogging the dishwasher though. So IMO remove them before, if you're using the dishwasher. But I think it's easy to hand wash. I was taking stuff out of it though and I realized I was using metal tongs in a nonstick coated space. So I may end up buying some plastic or wood tongs. This is my first air fryer. I didn’t want a big one so I opted for this size. It’s perfect. We leave it on the counter and you don’t really notice it. I have blue pearl blue granite counter tops and with the matte dark blue it just blends in. I don’t have a lot of cabinet space so it doesn’t look big, bulky and awkward. Super simple to use. Set the temp and time. I reheated half of a Ruben sandwich. The rye bread was toasty and the corn beef, kraut and cheese was melted perfectly. I actually think it was better then when I ate the first half at the restaurant! Daughter cubed up tofu and she air fried it with a little olive oil and seasonings. It turned out crunchy on the outside and moist in the inside. Love this little air fryer so much that I just ordered a second one for our home in Florida. It’s a perfect size for the 4 of us.
