This sticks in place well! Perfect for keeping you from slipping in the shower. Durable and effective. The back is covered in small suction cups that keep the mat in place. It's not uncomfortable to stand on, mushy or too thick and the size looks good in a standing shower, approximately 5' x 4'. The material has no smell, especially after use. The grey color is great and stays looking nice. It's not that hard to clean, use a handle brush and you can scrub the front and back of any soap buildup easily. We were looking for a shower mat, one that would be sturdy and grip tightly, yet allow the water to flow underneath to the drain. This mat fits the bill! Due to the size of our shower, we purchased two and put them side-by-side. They come rolled up in protective packaging; it was just a matter of unrolling them and sticking them to the shower floor using the suction cups on the bottom of the mat. This is a great shower mat. The suction cups are amazing, and it really stays in place. It is the right size for me, and really looks fashionable in my gray/black/white bathroom. The only downside is that it is not as soft as I thought it would be under my feet, however it is not uncomfortable. It does come up easily when I do want to clean under it to do the whole shower pan, and goes back down again just as easily. Read more

This is probably the best bath mat I've ever had I have found that when staying at other places, not everyone has a non-slip bath mat in the shower and/or tub. When one is standing in soapy and slippery wet floor, one can easily lose balance and fall. And since 80% of falls occur in the bathroom, this is a serious concern and not just for seniors but everyone else. On our last trip, it was a serious hazard getting in and out of the tub. Since then, I resolved to always take a bath mat with us when we travel. But I didn't want a full-size mat. This particular mat appealed to me because the description said it's easy to cut. And it is! Why it is a good mat: * Suction cups in the bottom ensure that it will adhere better to the the bathroom floor * Thick and solid material * Tiny grooves provide more traction when standing on it * Easy to cut to size * A half piece can still accommodate two feet when standing on it * Can be rolled if needed * Excellent mat to take along on travels I cut this mat into two pieces, and gave half to the other couple traveling with us. We all believe this was a good idea to pack because in a couple of places where we stayed, there were no bath mats in the shower. I am very happy with this bathmat and will say it is definitely nonslip. I ordered the longest one I could as I knew that I could cut it to size if needed. I didn't need to cut anything so that was great. I will tell you that I have never had a more secure feeling bathmat then this one. The first time stepping on it was a little hard but that was because I have been used to squishy soft mats in the tub and this one is quite ridged but that also contributes to its secureness. There was no smell like the usual mats, it is super thick, has a great length and the grey and black color combo looks good in my bathroom. I also feel it is a great value for the money. I chose this mat because of the drainage feature but was disappointed that the suction cups don't adhere to the textured surface of my shower floor. The design is great and would probably be ideal for someone with a smooth surface tub or shower. Read more
