I own two of these monitors, I bought the version that was superseded by this one first about 4 years ago, and then a year later I bought this version It’s been let’s just say 3 years and some change that I’ve had with these monitors and these monitors always stay in sleep mode, I’ve never actually turned them “off” I’ve played thousands of hours on these monitors and I don’t care that Samsung or LG have supposedly “better” monitors because for me I’ve never regretted buying this monitor and now that I’ve built my own PC and am making the jump to a GTX 1080, I’ve been looking for a 1440p monitor and honestly I love BenQ so much that I’ll pay the extra amount just to keep supporting such a wonderful product With some slight tweaks to the picture settings on the presets, the picture looks beautiful and I would recommend this for anyone who's trying to have something that lasts a long time and is still affordable I don’t have any problems with my monitors, no tearing no missing pixels none of that jazz, I love my setup and can’t wait to order my first 1440p BenQ Read more

Absolutely fantastic gaming monitor! I am blown away by this monitor, I had the older RL2455HM and it did not look as good as this one does. Excellent colors, couldn't tell a difference next to an IPS monitor. Very deep blacks and overall great picture with tight pixel density. Speakers are good and OSD is easy to use. Build quality is superb, no cheap gloss here and easy to clean. Out of the box colors were perfect, only had to adjust the brightness and turn AMA off. BenQ is the best for gaming monitors, I've tried many and none have the same quality as them. Highly recommend if you're looking for a gaming monitor that will last you a long time! Read more

As awkward as it was walking out of the post office with a huge box labeled "for console esports," that's exactly what this monitor is perfect for. If you compete in fighting games, you're probably looking for low latency, not 4K resolution or an insane refresh rate. Unfortunately, most modern-day monitors that achieve impressive latency also come with impressive resolutions, 144 Hz refresh rates that won't make much of a difference when your PS4 is outputting at 60, and prohibitive price tag that matches those impressive features. This thing won't let you show off your new optimized gaming desktop build, sure, but it WILL let you run a fighting game tournament where you can call BS on anybody claiming the setup was laggy. Plus it has built in speakers for your traveling setup needs. The sound quality on said speakers isn't the greatest, but if you're gaming at home you should have regular speakers or headphones to plug in anyway. Read more

This is a great monitor for the price! Amazing quality and refresh rate. Very easy to put together and to take apart! This is a great monitor for those who would like to travel with a monitor as the stand is real simple to dis-assemble. It does swivel up and down as well (along the Y axis), which is a plus for me since I like to sit at different vertical angles depending on what I am doing. My only con is with the sound of the monitor. It sucks, straight up. But, if you have a PC with it's own dedicated speaker system or even another audio device or headphones, then I would dis-regard. Other than that, solid product. Thanks. Read more

Prior to the purchase is this monitor I was using a Asus VG245H which is only $10 more currently on Amazon. First thing I noticed about the BenQ is the build. This monitor and stand feel very poor. The bezel are much thicker, but they also stick out past the front of the display, this creates a reflection surface around the border of the screen, not a huge distraction but is noticeable. Aside from those gripes the display is actually pretty good in my eyes, I found the BenQ to be more vibrant than the Asus. Only problems I have noticed is one stuck pixel that has since gone away and a pretty bad ghosting affect when the ama feature is turned on(I think its on out of the box). With it turned off ghosting goes away and for me response feels the same. Overall I think this monitor is decent, not bad for price but personally I felt like my money was better spent with the Asus. I was a tad skeptical based on some of the reviews, BUT I ended up happy with the purchase and here's why. I primarily play XBOX and the laptop that I play on can hold it's own but it's no pc master race quality build. Therefore, I didn't need a 144hz (or higher) monitor. I was playing on an old Vizio tv so I just needed an upgrade. This seemed to be the only monitor that I could find with 2 hdmi ports, and both of them worked right out of the box. It's also easy to navigate the inputs with an option to enable auto switch as well. The picture is great as well. Setup took a little longer than I expected because the menu operation with the buttons on the side can be pretty darn clunky but you really only have to suffer through it once. You can even save 3 custom settings layouts. However, switching between custom picture modes is kind of clunky as well. I only needed one though so not something that bothered me. The speakers are mediocre at absolute best but that's not something that I was concerned with when I purchased. If I'm gaming, I have a headset on. Otherwise it's just youtube or other similar tasks that don't require high quality audio. Very pleased with my purchase overall. It's been thoroughly enjoyable for gaming and a marked improvement over my previous setup. Obviously it's not a high end monitor but that's not what I was looking to buy and I would absolutely recommend it to other people in the same market. Read more
