I got this lunchbox because it was cheaper compared to the other name brand ones. I assumed it wouldn’t hold up as well but to my surprise it has. The insulated food jar keeps food warm for quite a long time (if heated up well). For reference, I pack my child’s lunch at 5:30am and by 4pm (if there’s any food remaining) the food will be decently warm. And that’s good considering that lunch time is well before school dismissal. I have noticed that people complained about leaking. But I have not experienced this. The seal on the jar is pretty good. Overall the entire construction of the lunch box is pretty roomy and durable. I would, however, suggest that if you’re going to pack wet foods (like cut up fruits or salad) in the other compartments, that you top it with a piece of napkin to absorb the water. If not, you may get small leakage into the other compartments (and that’s mainly b/c of how the lunch box is being carried…most kids are holding it outright all day long. Instead they’re holding it vertically by the handle). But the napkin on the top works like a charm. Just fold it into the size of that compartment and place right on top of the wet food item.
