Quick and simple to use
I added the instructions since it literally tells you how to use it. some people had a hard time with this tool when instructions are included lol smh… so simple to use. Pop batteries in and you’re good to go. Worked on braided line and mono. Much quicker than pulling by hand. Happy to have this tool! Read more
Low Quality
I need to first mention that I use this tool for unreeling yarn into a container for machine knitting, not for anything fishing related. That said, I bought this one because the one I bought about 18 years ago went missing during a recent move. It looks and works nothing like the old one, it's a flimsy piece of plastic that almost broke because of how hard I had to push in the batteries - it didn't work at all without doing that. Perhaps thin fishing line feeds easily but the only yarn I could get to feed was thin crochet string, anything else wouldn't feed at all or jammed it, the old one could handle many thicker yarns. It's also very hard to see where to feed whatever is going in - the old one had a tiny space which made it easy to see where to feed the string. The only positives I can give this is it is cheap and it has a wrist strap - the old one didn't have a strap. Read more
Doesn’t sharpen hooks very well
I guess as a line management tool is it ok but as a hook sharpener it just doesn’t work. A file stone is much better. I bought it for the sharpener, I can spoil my line off an old reel pretty easy and wouldn’t buy a tool just for that. Read more
