GREAT AFTER A LITTLE TWEAKING

D. LittleOctober 7, 2014

I wanted to fit over my recliner chair and found that it was a little high so I ended up cutting off about 2 inches (required metal cutting blade). My fault for not double checking the posted heights. Also the knob holding the height adjustment presses against a plastic sleeve and would not hold the height. I just drilled a hole thru the plastic and that took care of it. All in all (after I tweaked it) it is great. Holds my 15" laptop with ease and is very stable at the height I am using it. Haven't had it up (like for a hospital bed) so can't comment on that. Read more

Could be better

Catherine C.May 23, 2015

Written instructions always sound complicated and get you overwhelmed, but it still would've been nice to have more than just a diagram to study. But I finally got it put together and I'm sure its right. However it still isn't as sturdy as I would have liked... Main problem: my mouse keeps sliding off (but I can probably fix that with a mouse pad soon). And the wheels don't roll well at all!! I wish it could be a bit taller, then I could use it as a standing desk too. I also wish it would extend further. I can't use this in my bed because it won't extend enough to cover my lap! Trying to use it with my couch was impossible... The legs are too tall to fit under it unless you pop open the recliner and then the extended footrest gets in the way of this thing so you can't pull it up to you. Honestly!!! For now I've settled on using it with a chair and its still a bit better for me than a regular desk because I can draw on my tablet with out looking down the whole time. So I'm only subtracting 1 star. Read more

GREAT buy

artifexOctober 14, 2014

This category of furniture is prone to the overpriced, ugly, and the cheaply constructed. But this product is none of those. So cheap I was worried, but turns out to be easy enough to assemble, sturdy, and just about perfect in size. The lines are fine, as is the finish on the base. The adjustments are really solid--enough that I don't think twice about putting my coffee mug on one side, Macbook Pro on the other. The table surface is pretty much what you'd expect: very plastic-y "woodgrain" laminate. Not ugly, just never going to be mistaken for real wood or high-end. My original thought was to cover it with a more interesting vinyl, maybe something like Black 3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber DINOC Flex Wrap CA-421 24"x12" But this table has been so handy, I began using it right away, and I'm not sure I'lll even bother with covering the "woodgrain". In the modern world, woodgrain laminate is just about invisible. And mine now usually has a book, laptop, or writing pad on top, so you don't see the table at all. Read more

KeetApril 30, 2016

I had this thing for 5 months and a wheel broke! I was rolling it on hard wood floors! On top of that it would drop my laptop all the time and dont even think about putting your coffee on it while you work. It's not a very good investment. It's been sitting in my garage for the past 3 years I cant even give it away because of the wheel. It totally broke there is no way to fix it. I took the othere wheels off to make it stable again but it messes up my floors. Read more

Bought twice: 1 is crap, 1 is nice

PrivateMay 8, 2018

I've bought this table twice. Once a couple years ago and once recently. I love the old table from years ago. The first two images are the latest buy (the image of the top of the table and the bottom with the white underside.) The new one is different than the old: it is cheaper, wobbly, and all around worse. I regret the purchase. The first time I bought it is shown in the third image (the brown underside) it is secure, well made, and was a worthwhile purchase I've had for years now and wanted a second and identical one. Unfortunately the new one is not identical and is not up to par with the first. You take a risk buying this table. I don't know if it changed or if you just don't know which you'll receive but either way that's not a good sign. I wouldn't say the new one is the worst table I've ever seen and it is cheap compared to [nicer] tables you could buy. But overall it's crappy especially compared to that they sold me before that I have to compare it to... Read more

Very sturdy, easy to put together and looks good

donnamw1951April 5, 2015

Using with my HP 15 Notebook. Very sturdy, easy to put together and looks good. Was very surprised how high you can really set this up; that works well with me when I'm in the kitchen using my notebook for a recipe. Then I just roll it back into the living room and set it down to work well with my recliner. Very happy with this purchase at a good price. Read more

don't buy this

Kathy's PlaceFebruary 26, 2016

this table looks nice but is not suitable. when using it in bed, it is not long enough for a truly comfortable fit across the bed, so you are somewhat at an angle. the feet of the table are arched up, which makes it unusable to most if you are using it on a couch, let's say. the feet will not fit under. the table is split, but only for a left handed person. i am right handed. you cannot adjust it for right handed. and the final piece is that it no longer works. the table will not stay in the height position you want after just a few months of use. i can no longer turn the knob to make the table stay in one position. no matter how tight i make it, it doesn't matter. it slowly lowers on you or just pops down. don't buy this. look for a table that will fit across your body in bed so you can be ergonomic. and look for a table that stays in the position you want! both things should be no brainers for they are the point of buying a table like this. SC country girlOctober 4, 2014

This was just what I needed. Holds my laptop and mouse with space to spare. Really convenient because I use my computer from a living room chair. I can wheel it over and it extends over the chair arm to make keyboard access easy. When I'm done I just wheel it out of the way. It was pretty easy to put together, but the instructions were pretty bad. The wood color is a reddish tone, but the picture makes it look lighter. The base works fine. Read more
