Very impressive! I used to buy the older bottles made by same company and also were 2 way function. Bacteriostat and hardness decreaser. On the older bottles, bought just months ago, they took 4x more liquid than these. Its actually unbelievable for these differences. According to Bottle, it only take 1 capful (or, 1 tsp) per 2 Gallons of water. We have a 6 gallon Humdifier, and it used to take 1/2 cup, or 8 TBS for the 6 gal. This one only takes 3 tsp for same amount of water. 3 tsp is equal to 1 TBS is all! You can't beat 1/2 Oz /per 6 GALLONS. Wonderful! Very Impressive! Read more

I have been using this product for years, but I’m not sure if it totally works because I have a 6 gallon capacity machine, and whenever I use it, which is daily, there’s still a strange musty smell that comes out of the humidifier even though it’s clean. I need to keep my entire living space humidified because I play music for a living full-time, as well as sing for a living, and my acoustic guitars need to stay at about 50%, 52% humidity. I keep digital hygrometers in my home to make sure the humidity is at the correct level, but whenever I walk by my Holmes humidifier, there’s this musty smell that comes from it. So I’m not really sure if it’s killing the bacteria like it says it will, but it definitely helps the filter not become too calcified . Read more
