I purchased two of these lights in the spring of 2025 and have used them multiple times over the past year to start seeds, including this past month. The lights are good quality and have survived multiple uses. They’re designed to be hung over the top of your plants and so you will either need shelving above your seedlings or some type of rig for them to hang from. That being said they are extremely effective and last year I started all of my gardening plants for my large garden using just these two lights. I’ll be buying more this year to grow even more. I've owned and currently operate a few Bestva LED lights for my indoor garden. Always work well and super good value for the money considering it's price point. Recently I had an issue with some of the led bulbs on my newer 4000 and contacted the customer support team. They immediately worked with me to go above and beyond and agreed to send me a replacement vs repairing my existing unit. Couldn't be more happier with Bestva as they stands behind their products. I needed a grow light for my papaya so I decided to give this light a shot and it exceeded my expectations! This light is great for indoors or in a grow tent. Very quiet and does not generate a lot of heat. Super easy to set up and the quality seems to be as good, if not better, compared to more expensive lights. I read a lot of the reviews and they seemed to indicate that the light is well built and lasts long so I figured it was worth spending the money on. I’d recommend giving it a try if you have a few smaller plants or one big plant that is sun hungry. Read more

I use mine in a 48x24x60 grow tent. With several plants in there and I mean like 3 it works great. of course this depends on what you are growing and how bushy per say. While I could easily do 4-5 pepper plants I would have to drop to 2 or three bigger tomato plants or anything similar in size and leaf density. Takes a bit getting used to the purple colored world and of course get the UV glasses for this as the UV is not good for the eyes and it sort of corrects the color...somewhat. I would say this size light is pushing the limit for this size grow tent being that it does the job fine but any bigger and you need a bigger light or combine 2. The light spread is good and as long as I kept plants 18" away or so I never had any tip burn even when they would get 12" for a short time I never had tip whitening....but again I kept it around 18" or so for growing plants. Note not for seedling or clones though...too bright for seedling and I do not do clones but I would day 24" or a bit more until established. This is good for veg to flower and I never had an LED burn out...never showed any signs of light spectrum deficiency and compared to running hot high watt sodium or halide..I rather use these. Cooling fans kept the housing cool and were not excessively noisy and while they do put out some heat it is easily vented out without needing a fan...just open the top vent a bit along with a bottom vent if the heat climbs. Sure you can spend more money and better name brand lights but I am NOT dropping $600-$900 on lights when these do fine for a hobby grow. You do not have to drop stupid cash for a decent grow light...as long as the spectrum and output is within spec and they lights hold up and do not fail they will work fine. Let the pseudo experts argue over better lights...I have grows to show these work just fine. NOTE: going by my smart meter on my electricity account they lights use about 200-240 watts based upon my smart meter. My electricity use is very constant so when I start a new grow I can see the increase on a daily KW usage and that is watt (pun hahah) the increase in my bill breaks down to..around 200 watts increase per hour per day Read more

Only been using for a couple days so can’t rate durability or quality yet. Seems pretty decent though, we will have to see how the led perform with the plants over the next couple months. I had to get an extra carabiner and rope ratchet to be able to control the angle of the light way I want to. So I guess it would have been nice if it came with that or had a better design on the hanging system. Now I wanted a cheap light just to veg my outdoor plants. This was the 3rd most powerful led grow light under $60, but the higher rated ones had a spectrum only designed for flowering/blooming. This has both and although the veg setting doesn’t seem super powerful, it’s covering all 6 of the 5 gallon pots I’m vegging in about 2.25’ above. It produces no heat on the veg setting and a tiny amount on full power. Even in a grow tent this thing would need very minimal ventilation/cooling. I’ve been growing almost two decades and my t8 just died. I havnt done indoors in 7/8 years maybe, so I hadn’t gotten into the leds much back then. Was just running 300 watts supplemental w my hps1000s. Those were a different type of led, louder and produced a lot of heat nvm $$. These seem a lot better. I could picture running 2 of these in a small 3x3 tent w a small 4in fan set up for cooling an a temp controller. Anyone reading these reviews, bc I looked at plenty before this purchase, out of the box it gets 4.5 stars. If was slightly stronger power wise or came w better hanging system it would get the 5. But happy overall with the purchase and definitely recommend especially at the price. Read more
