These earbuds pleasantly surprised me. Their well-reasoned construction makes them fit in the ear a little better than most and the dual-driver design results in rich sound with startlingly powerful bass. The bass notes genuinely thump, like you should be feeling it in your chest but it's in your ears. The sound also has a fuller "feel" to it than is typical for earbuds in this price range, implying a broader spectrum frequency range than most. That actually makes a great deal of sense given the dual-driver design. The only drawback I noticed was that some of the high-mid to low-treble range sounded a little weak, but considering the great bass I'm going to give them a pass on this one. It just isn't reasonable to expect everything to be fantastic with earbuds at this price point, there HAS to be some compromise. I would already describe them as genuinely pleasant to listen to as well as better than average, so I'm just going to give them a thumbs up, a full 5 stars, and call it a day. Read more

Good sound, comfortable to wear, good value for the cost. I sleep better with thunderstorms playing but my hubby needs just the sound fan to sleep so I sleep with these in my ears all night. Even with having these in for upwards of 6 to 9 hours every night my last pair lasted well over a year. If they can take the abuse I make them go through then I'm certain for the average user they'll perform for much longer. Read more

I do not write a lot of product reviews, but in this case, I felt compelled to write. I have suffered through the costly frustration and disappointment of buying around a dozen earbuds over the last 2 years alone, only to have to throw them away because of broken cords, poor fit or just plain horrible sound. Although I've only had the Betron BS 10 set for only a few days, I feel comfortable enough to go out on a limb and say that this is the very best set that I've ever owned. I make this declaration based on some areas where these earphones distinguish themselves from all of the others that I've tried. First, the overall quality of the product is exceptional. From the heavy duty cord to the connectors, it seems obvious that someone took the time to design a sturdy product that is meant to last, and it shows. This doesn't seem to be cheap, mass-produced cosmetic junk that we've become so accustomed to. Next comes the earphones themselves and the fidelity of the sound that they deliver. The sound quality is truly exceptional! This is the kind of sound quality that one would expect from name-brand earphones costing significantly more than the $13 that I paid for them. I also appreciated some of the really nice features that are incorporated into the piece, such as the volume controls and other functions that I can now command without actually touching my phone, the adjustable "Y" on the cord and even a lapel clip - things that seem so simple, yet so very welcomed in making the product even more useful and user friendly. Even the packaging - the presentation of the product itself, is way above par and suggests from the outset, that this product is different. As if all of this wasn't enough, the earphones come with a 1 year warranty! How cool is that? So far, so good and I am very VERY pleased with these Betron earphones. I plan to buy a second set soon, just in case these get damaged. Will update this review if anything changes. UPDATE 11/4/19: So, I enjoyed around 3 months of complete bliss with these earphones, then the usual culprit surfaced: the cord broke at the plug, resulting is a short, rendering the pair useless. I was tremendously disappointed and contacted Betron on October 16 to register my disappointment and to exercise the warranty. I got an impressively fast and very polite response from Stev, who immediately offered a replacement, which I received a few days afterwards. It's possible that I may have gotten the odd unit, or the failure could have been as a result of my excessive usage. I am still very much pleased with the Betron earphones and can't see going to any other brand in the foreseeable future. Their very responsive customer service also served to seal the deal with me. Even though the Betron unit is the best built that I've ever owned, I am now more mindful of minimizing any undue stress to the area where the wire meets the plug and will try to strengthen that area with either some shrink insulation or some other kind of strong and flexible material. I think that any company that can deliver a unit with Betron's quality AND a more rugged wire-plug union, will have a runaway winner on their hands. The main reason I ordered these earbuds was to allow me to hear and communicate in video meetings and conferences without the bulkiness of my over-the-head headsets. I needed an earbud that had an accessible microphone and connects with a 3.5mm jack, both of which were included in this product. (Note: I am using these earbuds with an Astro Mixamp connected to my PC.) After receiving these earbuds, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of packaging for such a cheap price. The carrying bag is quite nice, and the feel/look of the earbuds is nice as well. Now, after using the earbuds and testing them with voice recorders, I am disappointed to say the microphone is nearly non-functioning, which was one of the main reasons I purchased these earbuds. I haven't seen many reviews talking about the microphone so I thought there wouldn't be an issue after seeing all the positive reviews about the quality of sound, but in fact, I was wrong. The microphone barely picks up your voice while wearing the earbuds normally. The sound comes through very distorted and choppy. You need to hold the microphone directly in front of your mouth for it to pick up the sound, but if you have the patience to do that, the playback sound is much better. Also, the overall sound quality is also just OK... Maybe I'm spoiled by the daily use of high priced quality headphones, but I wasn't blown away by the sound quality. I gave these earbuds a 3-star rating because for the price, they're not a terrible option for what they can do, but I'm sure there are better alternatives for earbud/microphone combos out there for around the same price.
