Well liked by my 7 and 4 year-olds. My 4 year-old raved, "This is even cooler than I thought it would be!" I myself would listen to Michael Dorn read the paper. Read more
7 year old complained because I picked it for him - within minutes he was completely hooked - perhaps within seconds is an even clearer picture of just how fast it caught his attention and he was glued to it. Also - pretty clean hero' in this flick - felt safe as a parent pretty quickly. Read more
I have no prior experience with Bionicle, and I am clearly way older than its target audience. But I liked it. I suspect that the hero was some sort of Action Figure who spoke in a deep, slow voice and said things that a 5-year-old would find profound. Since nobody else acts that way, he comes off as a stiff. This was clearly intended to start a series and, as such, does a good job. Lots of action, well-done animation, interesting critters, hints of a background (for future use) -- this has it all. Kids loved the movie, I did not enjoy buying a movie and waiting for buffering during viewing. So, I am hesitant to purchase rights to watch other on-line movies. It may have been an unusual occurance. Read more
