Birkenstock Mayari Sandal Graceful Antique Lace EU Size 39 Womens US Size 8-8 5

I have always heard great things about Birkenstocks, and while I don't necessarily find the Arizona style to be ugly, they aren't very "me." However, after working in retail for the past couple of years, as well as walking around campus in some less-than-supportive shoes, I have started to develop plantar fasciitis and I knew I needed some sandals that would actually benefit my foot, since my summer shoe selection is pretty pitiful. These are perfect! The antique lace color is really nice (it's kind of like a slightly shimmery off-white color) and the style is more feminine than I thought which is a plus, and after the break in period when the shoe has completely molded to your foot (which for me was only a couple days of wearing them a bit, and no blisters or anything like that), they have become one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever worn. I'll be sad when the weather gets cold and I can't wear them anymore! They definitely run a bit big, I'm a very true size 9 and the 39 fits me really well. As far as the width, I got them in a regular because that's the only width I could find anything in. My feet are on the narrower side of medium and while I think a narrow size would be a bit better, the regular width lets my feet spread out and I don't find it uncomfortable at all. I’m known in my friend group for wearing Birkenstock sandals EVERYWHERE: traveling, clubbing, on walks, to work, you name it! So when I told my mom I planned to wear them on my wedding day she was horrified. She begged me to wear a “slight” heel or a glittery sandal even, but shopping for them killed my soul a little bit.. that just isn’t what I’m happy or comfortable in! Finally I found this style in an ivory-esque color, and I fell in love. The pearlescent shimmer finish is subtle but beautiful, dressing up their typical leather sandal without sacrificing any of the comfort. All my friends and family (including mom!!) loved how personal the Birkenstock’s felt on the big day, and most importantly I felt confident and comfortable!! I was extremely skeptical about buying berks on Amazon after reading the reviews... but these are legit! They have amazing comfort, and adorable style. I have worn them for a good 6 months now, and haven't had a single issue with them falling apart or anything like in some of the reviews I read. I got the antique lace color, so they are a soft white/ivory-ish color. I love them!! AND they are decently cheap on Amazon in comparison to some of the in-store prices I've seen. As long as you know your normal size in berkenstock, the sizing shouldn't be a problem at all. The first pair I ordered were wayyy to big, but I simply didn't know what my size should be. I was sent the wrong color. I ordered the multi but received the pearl white. At first I was upset, but need these for a trip mid July. Honestly the color is perfect for summer anyway, so decided to keep them. I will end up ordering the correct color later, I'm sure. Shipping took a while and I did not want to risk not having them before I leave. I feel like they will require some breaking in and getting use to. But I absolutely love the arch support! This is a well known German shoe that supposedly lasts for years. My sandals are 2 and 1/2 months old and the front cork on both of them is separating the whole way across the toes on both sandals and there is a crack in the cork from footbed to outside bottom sole on the right sandal by the strap. I paid $90.00 for these and now have nowhere to return them for a replacement because the "Return/Replacement" window is gone! so, I now have a pair of cracked $90.00 sandals that didn't even make the three month mark...I have tons od 5 & 6 dollar shoes that i wore much more than these and they have lasted for years! I found out if I buy them from Nordstrom they will ship to me for free and will also take returns - especially for defective merchandise - for up to a year. My question is, shouldn't the seller stand behind this guarantee? I will be contacting Birkenstock, but I feel I should be able to go through the seller. Read more

Honestly some of the best sandals, totally worth the money if you are into comfy sandals. Of course like an other toughly made shoe you have to break them in which may take up a week or more depending on the materials condition. But once they form they fit like a glove and you never want to take them off. Read more

I bought these for my wedding! They are beautiful, and I am quite thrilled with them. I had a pair in Purple already, so I already knew my size. For the record I am a 8-9 depending on the shoe and wear a 39. These are not white! Don't expect them to be and you'll be happy. They are almost a shimmery ivory, which is exactly what I wanted.
