I am very happy with these Birks. They are one of the few sandals out there that comfortably fit wider feet, wide toe area. Without intending to, I wore them almost every day this past summer- that’s how comfortable and versatile they are. Easy to wear for long walks or if you’re on your feet all day. If I could, I'd spend my summer in flip flops, but that won't fly at work. Instead, after talking to my cousin, who just so happens to be a podiatrist, I decided to invest in my first pair of Birkenstocks. I love these sandals! They took a little breaking in, but they have fantastic support, especially in the arch of my foot, and they just seem to get better as I wear them. The style is very nice - comfortable enough for weekends, but nice enough to wear in my casual office - and I'm sure I'll get years of use out of them. They did rub a bit at first, especially on the outside edge of my heel, but not enough to cause any pain / blisters, and the part around / between my toes was surprisingly comfortable right from the start. These are great sandals! They were super comfortable right out of the box, and they have style. I wear a 7 to 7-1/2 in medium width normally, but I followed the advice of other reviewers and went a size smaller in this shoe. The 37N is a perfect fit for me. The golden brown is a little too "golden" for my taste, but it is only obvious out in the bright sunlight; otherwise they look dark brown which is the color I was hoping for. So maybe not an unbiased review here. I had Plantar Fasciitis and decided to try Birkenstocks after reading reviews and info on Plantar Fasciitis. I love them! I also really like Mayari style. I prefer the "toe loop" . For whatever reason they so not bother me between my toes like regular flip flips do. This pair is more towards a cream/light tan. If your whole outfit is white I would probably not count on these to complete it but I intentionally bought them for a navy dress with a white flower pattern in it and these are great! I put above average arch support as I am not really sure what to classify as only that it is the support I need and more than a regular pair of sandals or flats are going to give you. I like them, the color is OK material I’m not a huge fan of because I’m used to the leather straps, but they should be fine. I needed something kind of neutral color to wear to the beach. Read more

I measured my foot and got that size from their chart they provide and they fit wonderfully, they support my feet so great for being a sandal! I have had them for about 3 years now and they are still intact, no tearing or breakage. I highly recommend these! Read more

I love these sandles. They look great and are perfect if you are a walker. Great arch support and comfort for my wide feet. Getting your size right is hardest part of these. They run big so i always order down a size when ordering Birkenstocks for aperfect fit. Read more

Birkenstock Women's Mayari Leather Thong Sandal,Black,40 EU/9-9.5 M US I purchased these sandals less then 2 seasons ago in August of 2015 believing they were indeed the $119+ dollar shoes I purchased. I wear them only seldom in the summer months and loved their fit with my arches and feet. However when I went to pull them out for this year I found that both shoes have a crack in the cork on the inside front portion of the sandal near the toe strap. They also have cracks in the front were the sole attaches to the cork.VERY disappointed as these are $100+ dollar "flip flops" that I expected to get years of wear from. I had friend who owned and wore theirs for YEARS and years. I had never owned Birkenstocks before so I did not know what to look for when trying to look for counterfiet or bogus replicas. Never thought I had to worry about this with Amazon as I am always careful to order the correct product according to reviews. I would hope there is something Amazon can do? Depending on how this is addressed with will base whether or not I use Amazon again. So disappointed that I was taken on a pair of $119 sandals. Birkenstock states that if it is not purchased directly from them they do not deal with it and we need to go back to the seller. I now have a junk pair of sandals and summer has just started. The gold stamp proves these were a cheap replica I am so disgusted with Amazon for charging this for fake brands. Read more
