As a GenX-er, I saw this and loved it immediately! I loved that the tote said Vintage and thought it would be a cute straw tote for any upcoming summer trips to the beach. The natural straw color is perfect for spring and summer. It's the perfect size to hold a tube of sunscreen, the case for my sunglasses, and my phone. The makeup bag that comes will be great for holding the little items that I like to keep handy in the summer - lip balm, blotting papers, a little compact with a mirror and some mints or gum. Both the tote and makeup bag feel pretty sturdy and have waterproof linings. It is firm enough to stand and keep its shape when you set it down and the strap size is perfect to carry by hand. The tote even has a little zipper pocket where you could stash a couple dollars. Compared to other totes I've used of this size, the handles on this one seem more securely attached so I'm not worrying about them coming off. The little fun facts card about things that happened in my birth year was a fun addition. With the variety of different occasions available, this would make a fun gift for all the "big ten" birthdays. The bags are well made and I think they will last through a few summers at the beach. I got this because I have a family member turning 80 this year and I’m very excited to celebrate with her. This is a nice set that comes with a tote, a cosmetic bag, and a plaque with a stand that has the cutest sayings on it. The tote is made from a burlap material with a lining inside and a sturdy handle. The plaque has a wood base that fits in securely. I have included a picture of the cute plaque on both sides. I absolutely Love this tote! I got this for my 50 something birthday. For a lightweight tote, it’s not only extremely durable. But also sturdy enough to hold canned items if you use it to go grocery shopping using your own bags. I’m going to use this tote from now on, replacing my old bag. I've been picking up 40th gift bags for my bestie as I know this is a BIG one for her and she is anxious about it. I plan to have them all over and give her a good laugh. Luckily we have a lot of friends around the same age so she can regift and repay the favor (and humor). I liked the texture of this bag - felt luxe and not cheap.
