This is a nice “no frills” 18/8 food grade stainless steel water bottle. No paint on the outside to chip off, which I prefer because I’ll personalize the bottle with stickers anyway. I really love the wider stout shape because it doesn’t tip over easily in vehicles like the taller shaped bottles do. You should know that the lid is very cumbersome to seal or remove. You have to turn it quite a bit to seal it all the way shut and it does take some decent strength to secure or remove the lid. Definitely not a good choice for kids, seniors, or people of low strength. The handle on the lid is quite substantial and easy to hold/carry, but it’s all plastic so I hope it holds up. Lastly, the rubber bumper on the bottom does not cover the entire bottom like a boot. The edges still bang down onto a surface. This is not a big deal, as most bottles don’t include the bumper. To be fair, it does keep the bottle from sliding. Overall, a great value no frills bottle with a fairly frustrating lid. Read more

Used this water bottle for over a year and a half non stop and it's held up great. Very good at keeping things warm or cold, very durable, well worth the cost. Just today, the rubber bottom fell off. That's the first issue I've had with it. Been dropped several times (including once on my toe), not one dent. The stainless does not scratch easily, the plastic cap and rubber seals are all still in great condition. Read more

Yes, unfortunately it will leak. The bottle itself is good quality and has a nice large opening for cleaning. However - because the lid is so hard to screw on completely tight, it ends up leaking. You really have to use all your strength to screw the lid on 100% . You will have it screwed on, and it needs to be tightened even more. I can't imagine an older person even having the physical ability to tighten the lid 100%. Maybe in time the lid will become easier to screw on, but I don't have the patience to wait for that * I edited my rating to 3 stars from 1 star. I ended up adding some butter to the treads on the top to act as a lube. I was then able to tighten the top more completely in an easier manner. So now that I can close the lid tightly, it isn't leaking. * Read more
