I'm new to the baby business. But I do know that I wanted something that supports the development of the baby. This mat is very nice and elegant with high contrast and red accents. My niece enjoys it. I got it for her to do tummy time. One thing I'm disappointed is that the mirror attachment is not a very good. It's blurry and dull so the baby may not recognize themselves or see themselves, but it's still cute. At least for the one that I purchased, it was a good quality. It might be a little small but I thought it was nice. It was easy to put together. The attachments can be removed and used as toys. Some have beads that act like rattles and some have crinkly sounds for a sensory. This is not a placement you can throw in the washer but you can wipe it down with something if it does get dirty.
