The blender I purchased was a Black in Decker, I needed one for numerous reasons, so far, the blending power is strong as advertised, for all the levels, not only that, its easy to wash by hand as well as the dishwasher, this blender may have some type of non stick on the glass, because nothing sticks or stains the glass, that's even with food, the pitcher is really heavy, be careful, the only problem I had with this blender wss the top, I like the easy pour sprout top, but I think I would have put a top on it that didn't go so far down in the pitcher, which tends to get stuck when wet making the to incredibly hard to remove e from the pitcher part of the blender, but I still like it and it really blends everything just as advertised really to perfection, so yeah, I can't knock this one just because of the inside suction on the sprout pour top. I think its a descent price for a Black and Decker product, I'm enjoying mine :-) Read more

I bought this blender to replace my 6yo Black & Decker blender that finally started smelling like burnt electricity, so I trashed that one and bought this. Very similar, works great. When I make smoothies, I prefer to make a whole large blender full so I can have 2-3 large drinks that day or the next. If I'm going to mess up my kitchen cutting up fruit, adding a cup of nonfat yogurt, etc., I don't want just one serving. To make a healthy smoothie, I first put some nonfat milk and a cup of nonfat plain yogurt in the blender, then add chopped fresh and or frozen fruit, add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and a couple packs of Splenda. Canned no-sugar peaches also work well, as does a ripe banana. I blend that together and then add a couple ice cubes at the end and blend until the ice no longer makes noise and it's ready. I've tried adding different veggies, but that tasted weird, but you can add chunks of unpeeled cucumber and that incorporated well. If you wish, you can add a pinch of flaxseed for more fiber. Fat free half'n'half also works in place of some of the FF milk to make it more creamy. If your smoothie tastes more milky than fruity, you can add a bit of fruity sugarfree drink mix. Read more

Actually there's really nothing bad to say about it , it blends super great & does exactly what it's supposed to do . The really good thing about this blender is that your able to unscrew the blade part to wash any stuck food in it , now I never had a blender that was able to disassemble like this one ,So I'm very pleased with your product ,oh and the other thing is your blender doesn't leave no bad smelling odor on it even after it's been washed ,I just wanted to make sure to put this out there cause I was reading articles online about blender's having a bad smell and not being able to get the smell off even after washing it . Thank you for allowing me to post my opinion Read more

This thing was $34.99 when I got it and was one of the cheapest blenders I could find on Amazon. I got it for kitchen-scrap smoothies that I pour in my yard so my plants get some nutrients instead of stuff going to the landfill. I tried composting but I live in the mountains and the animals will get into a compost pile or bin and the bears in particular can be very destructive. I consider composting impractical at my location. Kitchen-scrap smoothies, however, work great. I keep a container in my fridge with scraps for a few days so they don't get nasty then blend them along with plenty of water and pour them at different spots in the yard. I don't worry about mixing greens and browns, animals getting into it, smell, adding the right amount of water (in a very dry high-mountain environment), and having to wait for months (the cold in winter exacerbates this issue). I just blend the stuff and it goes on the ground. No meat, dairy, or greasy stuff. Just basic plant matter like you would compost. This blender is great for that. It has limited functions and is not super-robust (not flimsy but not robust either) so only 4 stars for those of you looking for a blender for more normal purposes. Regular yard debris goes through the chipper and is distributed on my property. Kitchen scraps go in this thing. Read more

This blender is soooo much better than the Breville blender I previously owned, and one third the cost! It is quiet, has a glass jar, lid is easy to put in and off, blade assembly comes apart for super easy cleaning, and it fits under the cabinets should you want to leave it out. I would certainly recommend this blender over more expensive brands/models. I mostly use it to make smoothies, but it is capable of doing other things. Read more

I'm very disappointed in this blender. Don't get me wrong - it's very attractive and is an overall "good" blender. But I specifically was looking for one to make sauces and soups. I looked through a lot of reviews, and this one seemed to be able to do that. Not the case at all. I was hoping to get rid of my old food processor, but I'll have to keep it. Read more

This blender didn't do a lot for me. Here's a list of things it didn't do: It didn't catch fire or blow black smoke when I plugged it in. It didn't break the second time I ever used it. It didn't topple over and spill smoothie everywhere. The glass didn't break when I used it. The blades didn't come apart and leave sharp metal pieces. It didn't trap gunk in it, rendering it impossible to clean. It didn't cost an arm and a leg. Why didn't it do these things? Mainly because I have enough common sense and mother's teaching of how to use a kitchen appliance. I also know the difference between shipping damage and a crappy product and how that should affect the product review. What did it do? It blended. Just like it's supposed to. All without costing $159+ simply because making smoothies is extremely popular now, and most corporate jackasses want to take advantage of the trend. Read more
