Black Halo Womens 3 4 Sleeve Jackie O Dress

Wow! This was the first item I ordered from Black Halo, and what a lovely dress! The Color is a very rich royal blue that really pops. The fabric is a very soft supple gabardine (but thick enough to hold its shape). The cut of this dress is very elegant, it highlights curves without showing too much. I'm a petite slightly pear shaped figure (just shy of 5'4 , 32-25-36) and I bought the size 2. The bottom half of the dress fit perfectly its fitted but not too snug and a good length (hit 3 or 4 inches below the knee on me, which I wanted, but means it would work for taller ladies as well), and the top was a little large for me but because of the cowl drape style still worked. The dress would work for a date night or at the office. My fiancé, who doesn't usually get worked up about clothes I buy, absolutely loved the dress on me and said I HAD to keep it. (SO high marks for any dress that can do that!) Overall I highly recommend the dress its good quality, and I'll definitely check out more items from Black Halo in the future! Great dress fitting as expected. Some reviewers said to size up, but I found that in doing this it didn’t lie flat on the back or side skirt seams. The arms are fairly tight. So, if you have larger arms this dress may not work for you. Otherwise, love the professional, slightly sexy look of the dress. Read more

I really like Black Halo’s dress designs. This dress has a very flattering; however, it does run small. I am typically a 6 or an 8 and (based on other reviews) I did size up, Unfortunately, it was not the right fit for me and I did exchange for the Black Halo Madigan Sheath. Read more

I really loved this dress; however, the sizing is awkward. I originally ordered a size 4 (I wear a size 2 pant and XS shirt) and the bottom half fit perfectly but the top half was extremely tight. I returned it and ordered a size 6 and had the reverse effect. The top fit pretty well (noticed the left sleeve liked to slip) but the bottom half was too big. Read more

Was very sad about the poor fit of the dress. The design is very classy. However the fabric has no give and is so tight in the sleeves and across the back I cannot bring my arms forward enough for the simplest tasks! From waist down the dress is slightly large but okay. I would need to shorten the dress so hits just below my knee. The three stars are for being a very cute design but cannot move from waist up when wearing (though the shoulders being set wide tend to slip off) I ordered my usual size. A larger size would require me altering from waist down and then the shoulders would fall off... and possible the sleeves would still be too tight(?) Read more
