I know you game writers out there think you have an edge on writing gaming today, seriously, you do not. BLACK is the foundation of a great game. First-shooter scenario's without the game walk-through-instruction is the way to play, "grab a gun, lets go kill something," is the mind set of today's player. The graphics in the 2006 game were great, not the focus but very well programed in. The artillery, WOW they actually work as they were to designed to in real life. I play Call of Duty lll nearly every day, it lacks the programing and design talent BLACK had, CD lll has a rocket launcher, Really?! What the hell is that? it fires then goes poof in the night. Grenades in CD lll are a joke, actually nearly all the artillery lacks real to life, real to form substance, these aren't guns, they're wanna be guns. If you want to put together a great first-shooter game that has some balls, redesign BLACK. Keep it the same, redesign its story content. Read more

I played this game back when it came out on the original xbox and it was awesome. Kinda sucks that it is only backwards compatible on xbox one. Tried on xbox 360 and didnt work like it said it would. But all in all I still love it and it's still fun. Read more

If you like to shoot and shoot a lot, this is your baby. You pretty much start shooting 10 seconds into the game and shoot until the very end. Ammo is strewn about and plentiful and you can blow a lot of stuff up. So that's all fun. Still, though, believe it or not, the shooting gets to be a bit much. After a bit the game takes on a Space Invaders type of monotony where you're just shooting foes and then there's more foes to shoot and so forth. And the massive underground lair at the end does start to feel a bit like a James Bond supervillan layer, which is a bit odd in a game that tries in a lot of ways to be realistic. All that said, the most upsetting part of the game is that it's over rather quickly. On a regular level you're done with this in about 4 hours, maybe 5 your first time through. You can add an hour or two to that unless you realize that you need to tone down the aggressiveness due to the very few savepoints. At $10 or $20 this is a good bet as it is fun. this games is scratched to hell man, your name SHOULD be mister money, and not mister i care about my customers, i like how the paper says, it may show some wear, well this thing looks like u played hockey with it. you suck. im going to try to get a new coating of what ever its called, a new seal i suppose at a store near by, that's extra money i gotta pay now, great present for my uncle.... and i cant return it now because it was supposed to be a surprise for my uncle and i have no time and no money, sincerely a pissed off customer..... and any star reviews are how much i love the game and not the seller. I absolutely loved it, it was in great condition for a used item and worked great with my older model box. This game is difficult for a beginner but if your determined can be a lot of fun. It came as described with one minor scratch but the case was not cracked and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves first person combat games. Read more

Old, but gold. This game is one of my favorite shooters and I still hate the fact that Black 2 wont be a thing. It's a very cinematic game but that only adds to the immersion. There is no multiplayer on it however, so be aware of that. Unfortunately I was unable to get this game to work on my Xbox 360 despite it being one of the backwards-compatible titles, but that's because of my Xbox and not due to the game itself. If you're considering picking this up, go for it. Read more
