I purchased this for ski season. Even though this can go over your helmet, I found that I like to wear it under my helmet. I find it easier when taking off my helmet during ski brakes and also when I get too warm, I’m able to just use it as a neck warmer and slide it off my head. Read more

I have a few products from this brand and the quality has been consistently good. They have an amazing soft feel both on the inside and outside and are surprisingly warm for how thin and elastic they are. I returned this model because I was looking for something to go over my helmet and these were a bit too tight for my liking in that configuration. If you plan to wear it under the helmet or without a helmet I would recommend this model. I ended up going with the camber model instead for use over the helmet and I love it. Read more

Well, it's just terrible, and in no way a reflection of the advertising. First of all, it is absolutely not wearable over the helmet. That is, unless you have a head/helmet the size of a GE small appliance lightbulb. In reality, it ONLY fits under the helmet, which is not what I wanted. Also, and more importantly, while it is adjustable, in that there is a cinch cord in the back, that just tightens the hood around your cheeks. There is entirely too much fabric around the top of the hood. I suppose this excess is to support the (impossible) "you-can-wear-this-over-your-helmet fantasy...which, again, you can't. Regardless the net effect is that the front of the hood quickly begins to droop down OVER your goggles. I found the hood to be completely and utterly unusable, and a tragic waste of money. You can wear this in a variety of configurations due to clever cinch placement. I wear this under my helmet, or over my hat. It's not wind proof, but it doesn't necessarily need to be. Comment: I have a size L head, and it only fits over helmet if I stretch it, which is fine for me because I never intended to wear this over a helmet. Read more

Cord tie is too weak to hold the length in place. I had to replace it with something a little stronger. Cord ties also have a small strap sewn to the hood to keep them in place. They are low quality and easily rip and fray. Despite wearing it for months and cleaning it several times, it has an odd chemical smell. It bleeds black dye when washed. It does work and keep my head and face warm in 19 degrees F. Good design, poor execution and choices in quality of materials. Read more
