I already had a BlackVue dashcam in my other car, but needed one for my truck too. This one's perfect! I've even had some suspicious characters eyeing it, probably casing my truck. Thankfully, it was already installed, so they hopefully thought twice. I'm thrilled with this system. Installing it wasn't nearly as tough as I'd feared. I was stumped on hiding the wires at first, but a quick search online turned up some helpful videos. Once I saw how it was done, it was a breeze. This BlackVue DR770X Box-3CH Truck Pro is a serious piece of kit. It covers everything – front, back, and inside the cab – which is exactly what you need for a truck. It's built tough, too, so it can handle the bumps and bruises of trucking. Plus, you can hardwire it straight into the fuse box for parking mode, no extra parts needed. It switches over automatically when you turn the truck off. Setting it up was dead simple. The picture quality is fantastic, even when I'm cruising down the highway. I can easily read license plates, even on cars a little further away. Yeah, it's a bit pricier than some other dashcams, but it's worth every penny. This is an extremely well-made camera system. The fit and finisher very premium and you quality equipment. Cameras are relatively small and can be discreetly placed giving you total traffic and interior coverage. I think the main difference with this said is that the central brain of the system can be placed in a secure area and it is not part of the main camera. This makes it ideal for people like Uber drivers and truckers. It hasn’t been fully installed, but the cameras have been tested and the images are crisp and clear. Haven’t used the night vision yet, but I’m guessing it’s just as good as the rest of the image quality. This is a premium camera set up for people who really need it rather than just your average dash cam. Using third-party memory cards and I don’t know if they just wanna sell you theirs or there could be a real issue. I don’t see how a memory card would cause a problem as long as it was functional. It does include the hardwire kit, which is nice as other people charge extra for this. All in all, this is very premium set up for a reasonable price. Another advantage that doesn’t need to placed in direct sunlight as what happens with other cameras. The only downside is that it’s not have 4K recording. Not always a downside as the cameras use the premium Starvis sensors so even though you get less pixels,, you probably get a clearer image. Read more
