Updated review to reflect new product. This works perfect for replacing the original paddle for the Ninja Cream Deluxe. Originally, Amazon sent one that has been used and destroyed on the inside. Amazon was quick to replace it with a new one. Read more
I tested the THESHY paddle blade on my Ninja Creami Deluxe, and I found it nearly identical to the original blade that came with my machine. The only distinguishing features are a small "KM" on the front and the number "4623" on the back. When using the THESHY blade on the Lite ice cream setting, I noticed a different sound from the machine, which gave me pause—I've heard concerning stories about Ninja machines catching fire. Thankfully, the ice cream turned out the same & there was no damage to my machine. The current $21.99 price for the THESHY blade is only a slight savings compared to the Ninja brand's $23.99. While it's slightly more affordable, the difference isn’t substantial enough to make a huge impact on the overall value to me. However, the added ice cream scooper could make it a worthwhile option for some users. While I find the scooper a bit unnecessary for my typical Creami creations (I usually just use a regular spoon to keep dishes to a minimum), it’s a nice touch to have around for scooping store-bought ice cream. My wife recently bought a Ninja Creami model NC501 Ice Cream Maker, and before it was even delivered to our home I went ahead and ordered this Theshy-brand Blade Replacement for it. I didn't know what the life expectancy of these blades is supposed to be, but I figured it would be prudent to have a replacement waiting in the wings when needed. When the machine arrived, we made the first batch if Ice Cream with the blade that came with the unit, but for the NEXT batch we used the Theshy. I am happy to report that the Theshy looked, felt, fit, and operated EXACTLY the same as the original blade. I couldn't detect any difference whatsoever. Since then, we've been using both the blades - sometimes the original and sometimes the Theshy. Still no discernable difference between the two. The nice thing about the Theshy blade is that it comes packaged with a bonus small ice scream scoop, perfect for scooping out from the Ninja containers (or any pint-sized ice cream containers, for that matter). This works as well as the blade that came with my deluxe Creami. Sometimes it's a bonus to have two or more blades for when we're spinning up multiple pints of ice cream. It fits in exactly the same manner as the Ninja branded blade. I also like the fact that it came with an ice cream scoop as a "bonus" gift. Read more
I just spun up three batches of high protein ice cream in a row with the new blade, just to put it through its paces, and it works just like the OEM one. It fits perfectly and does a great job. I've heard tales of these blades breaking from repeated stress, so I did the wise thing and picked up a spare, because living without ice cream while I wait for a replacement just isn't an option. If you use your Creami daily, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a spare blade, just in case. For that matter, you might want to pick up a spare Creami, but this is a good step in the right direction. Read more
Nearly 100% identical to the original! I've used several times now with no notable performance differences or inadequacies. No chipping or damage of any kind despite being matched up against some deeply frozen solids. It's always great to have a backup on hand! Read more
When I first saw the blade, I thought it looked slightly different from the original blade. It did. Whereas the original blade seems to be more evenly distributed on four sides (forming a square), the replacement blade appears to be more rectangular. I can't really tell major differences for smoothies and ice cream, though. The ice cream scoop is nice to have. Read more
