I've been using this lip oil for about a week now. I'm a huge fan of clear lip moisturizers, so I was excited to try this one since I'm a fan of the ingredient list. I believe it's supposed to have a lychee scent, but I don't notice any heavy scents at all. It does seem slightly fruity, but not sticky or sweet. For a lip oil, the consistency is quite light and does not feel heavy on the lips. After application, it does not change my lip color, so it's a true clear. I will say that it does not apply like a gloss because it just gives the lips a natural, moisturized glow, but not a shine. While it is very moisturizing when applied, I don't believe it absorbs very well because I use it overnight, and I wake up to fairly dry lips. Nonetheless, I like using it as a daytime balm for a bit of moisture and glow. Read more

Okay, this is my first lip oil experience, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My lips get incessantly dry in the late fall and winter when the heat is on and it's literally freezing outside. I am a chapstick junkie to help protect them (seriously I have them stashed all over the place), but this time of year they start getting a little flaky and scaly from time to time, so I wanted to try lip oil since I've heard so much about it. I got the 01 Pure Lychee - I love the square bottle; it's easy to grab since I drop stuff all the time, and I love the way it looks, too. The applicator looks like a tiny fawn's ear which is awesome because you're really getting a generous scoop of product deposited on your lips instead of just a small, soaked tip of sponge. This particular oil (the 01 Pure Lychee) doesn't have any color; I'm using it just for moisturizing and conditioning. It smooths on like a lip gloss at first, and I was a little hesitant since I don't like most glosses when they feel sticky, but if you just give it a few minutes it sort of soaks in giving your lips a real boost. My lips look plumped up instead of all dried out and sad - after about 5 minutes or so I seal it in with my trusty chapstick and I've noticed that my lips are SUPER moisturized over these last few days, getting better each day. No flakes or peeling dry skin - it has made applying lipstick a lot easier as well since I now have this smooth palette to work with. A little goes a long way so this tube will last me quite a while, although I have to admit I've become obsessed with applying it haha. I wasn’t sure quite what to expect from a “lip oil.” I use several different glosses and lips masks but never came across a product like this before and I have to say it’s absolutely addictive! I LOVE the way this feels. Imagine a lip gloss that thinner and not sticky and that’s kind of what you have here. It makes my lips look plump and shiny so it’s really prettt. Better yet though is that it makes them so deliciously slippery and hydrated. As someone who suffers from dry mouth this offers a slip that glosses or moisturizing lip masks don’t. I’ve been using this nonstop since it arrived. The oil seems to last a while too. My lips feel coated and moist for at least an hour after applying and and look glossy for ever longer. Reapplying it is a cinch since it’s clear so I don’t have to worry about needing a mirror when throwing more back on. That said? I believe they do offer ones with pigment and would love to try the others in this line! The oil has no taste by the way but has a slight sweet and fruity scent when I apply it. The wand is also interesting and is shaped differently than any I’ve seen before. It’s soft but is shaped to capture the oil and help spread it. It works wonderfully. So yeah….this is just a great lip product. And based on how little is needed I think this will last longer than my lip masks too. I was surprised to see how quickly I go through my tubs of lip masks. In a couple days I make a surprisingly large divot in them. I suspect this will last much longer and it’s also cheaper in price. So it’s a good deal too. As soon as I applied ELROEL's Blanc Essential Lip Oil in Blackberry, I adored the shiny plummy color and the incredible hydration the oil brought to my lips, instantly. However, within maybe 15 minutes, the shade changed (as it's supposed to, of course) and I lost that plum I liked so much. The new color, adjusted by my pH, was more akin to a raspberry and still quite pretty. However, the color bled outside my lips and all over my teeth. After I wiped it off the offending areas, some tint remained on my lips (and not outside of them). That color looked nice, but my lips no longer looked hydrated. Another time, I tried dotting a small amount of the oil on just the inner part of my upper and lower lips, then spreading it by pressing my lips together and around a bit. That seems to work for me; it looks nice and does not get product on my teeth. I like this lip oil a lot, but there was a learning curve and it's a bit overpriced. Read more
