This blazer is a form-fitting light weight textured polyester that provides nice coverage and some warmth over a dress or shell. It has a lining in the front that is essential if you want to leave the jacket unbuttoned. The sleeves can be pushed up and stay put. I washed it by hand in cold water then rinsed and spinned in washer. Partially dryed on medium heat. Then steamed it with my iron, gently ironing as needed using medium heat with steam before wearing. After waering, washing a second time and removing from the dryer, it doesn't need steaming or ironing. I ordered the navy in a small and it fits perfectly. 5'6" 123 lbs. I can always use a blazer to slim my top-heavy torso. Even with a 34 DDD chest, the small fit perfectly. It hangs well and arrived with no wrinkles, which is always a big advantage. The color I ordered is an exact navy blue. Moreover, I have no qualms about washing it on a gentle cycle.
