These denium shorts are attractive and well-priced. They have a very stretchy full coverage belly panel and denium on the rest of the shorts. There is an elastic band with buttons to adjust the wasist. They look like you are wearing regular shorts when you wear a long top that covers the belly panel. The shorts have two nice sized back pockets and two small pockets on the front. These shorts are made of 71 percent cotton, 27.5 polyester, and 1.5 percent elastane. They are well-sewn and comfortable. These shorts are hand or machine washable in warm water and can be hung to dry or tumbled dry on low for easy care. I ordered these in size extra large and feel they run a little bit small in the hip area. For reference, I am 5'2” and 148 pounds. Overall, these are a very nice pair of denium shorts that are attractive, well-priced, have a moderately stretchy belly panel, and slightly smaller hip width than most size extra large maternity shorts. I ordered these for our daughter. She just announced her pregnancy and will need warmer maternity items than before. I ordered them so they would be plenty loose, because this is her 3rd baby and they are all close together, so from experience, I know her body will go, “I remember this!” And instantly go to the 6 month belly position. They are very soft. The band is stretchy, without losing its shape. I’d say they run true to size for maternity wear. The fabric feels like it will not be suffocating in our NC summer. The seams were all well constructed and matched. As someone who has a passion for sewing and garment construction, I always check the seams to make sure no repairs are needed before washing the garment and after drying it. It’s amazing how many items I repair before they are even washed anymore, so it’s a pleasant surprise to find ones that are fine from the start. I also do alterations and hemming of raw edge denim wear, so I know what high end garments should look like and unfortunately much of our ready wear is very poorly cut and constructed. These shorts don’t have the niceties of, say Rag and Bone, but they don’t need to hold up forever and will be washed much more often then a high end denim garment will be abused.
