Such high hopes but not for side sleepers

After trying numerous moisture chamber/sleep masks, I had high hopes for this one...just desperate for overnight dry eye relief. I also have partial facial paralysis (one eyelid doesn't completely close now) after surgery & it has been super difficult trying to find something that will provide relief (& doesn't include taping or plastic wrap on skin- that makes everything worse). I've tried it so many different ways, even adjusting it in the middle of the night & using it during naps just to get used to it & (in my opinion) it's just not made for side sleepers - or at least not this side sleeper. The head strap is far too bulky & doesn't stay in place & even though I can appreciate the adjustability of the eye cups (trust me when I say, I've adjusted those eye cups every which way & still couldn't get them to fit comfortably for side sleeping), they often end up pushing into your nose, eyebrow bridge or eye orbits once laying on your side (if you follow the directions for "the perfect seal with no light leaking through"). I suppose if you're a back sleeper & don't thrash about much, it'll work for you but I don't find it very comfortable nor is it acceptable for side sleepers. I appreciated the silicone cups & sensitive skin covers as they're washable (of which I did daily...but it was obvious the sensitive eye covers weren't very durable & not going to last very long). Lastly, I couldn't stand the smell of the mask itself (I'm being picky but I'm very sensitive to smells & it never went away). It smelled like a mix of old cigarette smoke & a musty old house. Honestly, I've reverted back to covering Lasik caps with plastic wrap & strapping them to my eyes with a regular sleep mask (poor man's nighttime moisture goggles), until I find a better solution. I'm bummed, I wanted so much more from these - especially for the price. Read more

The BLINKJOY mask is a wonderful way to protect your eye moisture while you sleep. Since I have Sjogren’s I need my medicine to stay in my eyes, and I believe this helps. The only issue I have with the mask is that I often wake up and it is not on my face anymore. I guess I am an active sleeper! Read more

Eye mask is comfortable and totally block out any light. I suffer from extreme Dry Eyes and sleep under a ceiling fan as well as use a CPAP at night, both of which blow air over my eyes.
