After having this playmat for 3 months I think I have formed my complete opinion on it. It has been great for my daughter, keeping her entertained and letting her work on hitting those milestones. As a newborn she loved laying on the mat for short bursts of tummy time. And now at 19 weeks she loves it for independent play. The mat itself is soft and nicely quilted, not as thick as I had hoped for but she does not mind. It has been very easy to spot clean this mat, we have even thrown in into the wash and hung to dry for her bigger messes. The purple color is cute and aesthetic for us. The toys have held up great and I’m sure will continue to entertain her for as long as needed. The versatility of it has been really great for us, with or without the bar, she has a good time. Our baby LOVES this gym! (So does the older neighbor baby haha) The stripes have enough contrast that even in the itty bitty newborn phase it's fun to look at. In the older newborn phase the toys are super fun to look at! Our baby loves them. She does get overstimulated with more than 2 toys and the mirror, and I like that if she gets bored I can switch the toys out. Right now she likes to kick the arches and watch/listen to the rattle and jingle cactus shake. Our neighbor baby is crawling and grabbing, and he likes that the arches actually move when he pulls. He gets frustrated with the wooded gym at his house since nothing happens when he pulls. I also like it because it's not overstimulating for baby, but is still engaging. I also like that it's colorful without looking like a rainbow threw up! I find that overstimulating, I can't even imagine it as a baby when the whole wide world is new. It looks quite nice in our living room actually. Quality: the mat washes really well! We've washed it so many times already (and a couple times on heavy duty on accident. It was fine). The mat isn't super squishy, but it's enough baby isn't uncomfy on the hard wood. The toys have held up really well. They are pleasant to the touch.
