The BEST blister tape. Pair it with the alpine armor anti chafe balm and you are set. After a 50 mile ultra, I had 0 blisters or hot spots. The tape came off comfortably after a long hot shower- no reside or feeling like my skin was pulling off with the tape. I won’t use anything else! Read more
Thicker tape great at blister prevention. Worked on all my hot spots better than anything else I have ever tried. Can leave on 2-3 days which is nice but will leave sticky residue on foot. Each piece long so I cut to fit where needed Read more
I have used a few different tapes. This style has been the best. A very similar tape used to be sold under a different name that was related to a specific race. That is all I will say. I loved that tape, but could not find it any more. After trying and looking at different types, I found this and it looked exactly like it. When I got it, I believe it was the same exact tape. A couple key points with this style of tape. First, it is 100% best to put this on before you get hot and sweaty (in the area you want to protect). If you do, this tape will stay on even after a shower (provided you don't go crazy with soap on it). However, it will be hard for it to stick if your skin is moist. Makes sense. Second, don't put this directly over a blister. The adhesive is very strong. You need to put a bandage over the wound and then this tape over it. I 100% recommend NexCare 100% Waterproof bandages to put over the blister first. They stick great, flexible and are low profile. A perfect match to this blister tape, which is also very low profile. Third, if you have a blister already, you will still feel it even after the applying the second point above. It is a wound and it will be unhappy. However, the second point above will make it so much more tolerable. This tape has helped me with training an running a half marathon. During training, my sock bunched up and created a blister on top of one of my little toes. I used this tape to prevent it getting worse and to prevent it from occurring during the event. Worked awesome and stayed in place. If I had request, I wish they would make this in different skin color tones too. I have been using this tape while breaking in a pair of new boat shoes, which I am trying to break in fast. One spot on my heel is not happy with the shoes. So I have been doing the second point listed above and it is very helpful. However, the black is very noticeable. I really don't care so much, but I would not be upset if it 'blended' in a little more. I usually have a small first aid kit with me in my daypack and I always have this with me along with bandages. I like it that much. Read more
I am heavily blister prone. I was desperate to find something that worked. I spent an hour taping my feet before my 100 mile race. It paid off. I still got blisters but not as bad as previous races that i didn’t tape. Great protection for 100 miles. Read more
Super sticky. Stops rubbing. Read more
This pretty much does what it needs to do. However, if I need to adjust where I put it, I find that the stickiness isn't as good as when I first placed it. It does tend to fold in on itself when I trim strips. Guess I'm glad it's a soft material but sometimes it can be a bit flimsy Read more
I usually get heel blisters from my boots when I’m climbing peaks. I tried this tape for the first time climbing Mt. Elbert, just shy of 10 miles out and back with around 4500 vert, and I came out with perfectly happy and blister-free heels. I will 100% recommend this to anyone and will continue wearing it on all my runs and adventures! Read more
It really does prevent blisters and protects from uncomfortable friction. Make sure to stick them well the first time and press it, so it doesn't lose grip. If you're getting blisters you should get different shoes, but if you're already stuck with what you have these will make your life way less painful Read more
