Algae has always been a problem in my pond, requiring sweeping rocks and cleaning a filter every other day to keep it under control. I wasted so much money for so many years on Aquascape products that cost $$$ and did absolutely nothing to alleviate the issue (or save me work). So glad I finally kicked the habit and tried something new; in this case Bloom Buster. Twenty four hours after I dosed my pond with this stuff, there was a very noticeable difference, as in a noticeable decrease in string algae in areas of my pond. I even noticed a difference in crevices of boulders in hard to get to areas where string algae would accumulate. I put in a second dose 24 hours after the first one, and no need to manually clear the algae because it was gone. I dump this right in the inlet to my filter basket and let the pond pumps distribute the dose throughout the pond. I couple it with Ultimate Pond Bacteria every couple of weeks. All fish in my pond eat and swim without issue while using these products. Give it a try. Read more
The product works well but it took about aweek for the pond to clear up so be patient Read more
Must be extremely careful using this product. If you put in too much it will suck the oxygen out of your water and kill your fish. I learned this the hard way and lost 12 out of 15 of my 3 yo fishies in 24 hours. 😢😢😢 Should be warning on the container. Read more
Good stuff. Like that it is safe for my ducks and geese. Read more
I’ve been having a bad algae problem in my 6000 gallon ornamental koi pond, to the point where it’s scummy even in the winter with string algae and green slime. This in spite of a continuously running a professional grade filtration system and uv unit. I got this product with some skepticism that it either wouldn’t be effective, or that it would also kill off my lilies and other ornamental plants. Well I needn’t have worried. After a couple of treatments the pond looked great, with no algae and crystal clear water. The pond plants are doing fine, even though the spring blooming season. I re-treat every couple weeks when the algae starts to come back. It does cause a little foaming for a couple hours but that quickly dissipates and, within a day, we’re back to clear. Great product. But don't really see a noticeable difference after 5 days water is still green . So it might have slowed it down but hasn't stopped the algea at all. Read more
This worked as designed to get algae out of my fish pond. Read more
This works so well! Works fast and doesn't harm our goldfish in the pond. It works on the waterfall going into the pond and keeps the rocks looking so nice and you can see to the bottom of the pond and see all of the fish! Great product!! Read more
