I bought this bag for a vacation on a cruise to the Bahamas and I am so glad I picked this one! It went daily to the pool and then to the beaches when we were docked. I could sit the bag on the sand and not worry about it getting dirty or wet. I was able to wipe any sand or dirt off the bottom and the outside is water resistant. My favorite thing about the bag are all of the pockets. There are pockets lined all the way around, as well as a secure waterproof pocket on the inside for money, phones and cards. This bag is large enough to carry items for 3 or 4 people. We had long walks from the dock to the beaches so it did get heavy, but I also have a habit of overpacking lol. We carried only that bag and just took turns carrying it. This bag can carry everything you could possibly need for a day at the beach and more. I purchased 8 identical bags to use as gift bags for families attending my cruise wedding. I was able to personalize the bags for each family without destroying the fabric, which was my biggest concern when ordering. Recipients appreciated the size of the bag, which could hold the beach towels, water bottles, snacks, spare clothes, and miscellaneous clothing items for a family of 4. More importantly, the bag didn’t attract sand or allow sand to enter through the weave of the fabric. The waterproof lined pouch is adequately sized for storing sweating water bottles, and the outer pockets worked very well for easy access to sunscreen. I used this when my partner was in the hospital and I would go back and forth. It’s extremely roomy with so many great pockets! this is EXACTLY what I needed in a pool/beach bag! The external pockets are large and I could probably fit my 30oz water bottle in the side ones if I wanted. The internal pockets are convenient for smaller items like wallets, keys, etc. I tested the items I typically keep in my pool bag and was able to comfortably fit all our sunscreens (we have like two gallon bags of different ones) and two towels (one being an XL Sand Cloud), and there was plenty of room for more! The material feels water/sand resistant, though probably not fully waterproof, which is fine unless you're submerging it into the pool. Overall highly recommend and excited to put this thing to use!
