GORGEOUS in Every Way!
I had extensively researched glassware, before deciding on this set. (I ordered three sets of four.) These glasses are not the cheap, thin, Libbey glasses found in big boxes. There is a substantial girth in terms of glass thickness. These hold 14 oz. liquid, so they will accommodate the contents of a soda can (10 oz.), and some ice. I appreciate the height of these glasses--they are not short like tumblers, yet they are not too tall. They allow you to adjust the height of your cupboard shelves to accommodate more glassware. Order extra sets, because some dork is bound to break one on you, and you won't be able to find these again. You will like them that much, trust me! The color is PRECISELY what is shown in the photos. I cannot understand the perception of the reviewer who indicated he expected a lighter color--what is shown in the photos is the color you get. The tapered design in unique, and based on the name of the collection (gem) I believe the shape is meant to emulate that of a diamond. If Qelvio comes out with more colors (turquoise would be great!), I'd order them in a heartbeat. Read more
