***2 Year Update Review As I was taking one of these (I now have 2) beds apart to throw in the wash, I thought I’d update my review. Why? Simply because these beds are just that awesome! Looking back thru my orders, I purchased one of these in 2017 and then another about a year later in 2018. I have 3 dogs, guess I oughtta get one more so they don’t have to share! Anyway. Here’s what I LOVE about these beds. Most importantly, all of my dogs LOVE them. Next, these things are CRAZY WELL MADE! Both of them still look like new. That’s after a gazillion washes and all 3 of my dogs “nesting” (read: digging) in them. Seriously. These beds show NO signs of wear! How is that even possible?? Finally, it’s so nice to have a quality dog bed that is not only EASY to wash, but SO SIMPLE AND EASY TO PUT BACK TOGETHER! Every bed I’ve purchased in the past claims “machine washable”, but good luck getting it put back together. Not to mention they wear out very quickly—whether it’s the padding, holes developing or stitching coming undone. I hate to think about how much I’ve spent on dog beds over the years! I hope this helps someone decide to buy this bed. I really can’t say enough GREAT things about it! I promise, you won’t be disappointed! (I’m laughing, I sound like an advertisement for this product. Original review: This is probably the best dog bed I've ever purchased. I have 3 dogs, so I've bought more than my share of dog beds. I'm continually disappointed with the big box store beds that claim to be washable. Itf you can wrestle the covers off, good luck trying to stuff it all back together! Those other beds also don't last. What makes this bed unique is that there are zippered compartments for each of the pillows. One for the bottom and 4 for each side. It's as easy as unzipping each compartment, removing the pillow and then tossing the canvas cover in the washer and dryer. It's just as simple to put it back together as well. The cover on this bed is very high quality canvas. My dogs love to jump in, scratch/dig around and then pass out. I actually expect this bed to hold up for a good long time. Let's start with my age, 71. There have been dogs in my home since the day I was born. So you know I have seen oodles of dogs, with temperaments from terrified to the happiest dog on the planet, sleeping in myriad places in varying states of comfort or lack thereof. I purchased the Bluebbery Pet Bed in September of 2016. More than 9 YEARS AGO. And look at it! It looks brand new. It has been occupied by a rescued puppy-mill Miniature Poodle, who had been sleeping 3 to a crate his entire 7 years of life. I chose the medium size over the small because he stretched out to 17 inches. He lived another 7 years, 5 of them with this bed. He loved it!! Now it is home to a rescued Pomeranian who snores when he is sacked out in it, and he thinks it's the Cat's Meow. Which is a good thing, because a year ago I adopted a cat. Guess who has the same opinion of this bed? If you wonder how it can look brand new after more than 9 years and 3 pets, it is the QUALITY. I just took it out of the dryer and put it back together. It is easy to do. The zippers are superior to any other I know.. The fabric is so durable I don't believe this bed will ever wear out. If you add up all the flimsy, long-gone $15 or $20 pet "beds" you have bought over the past 10 years they would total twice the cost of the Blueberry. Wish I could give it 10 stars. We purchased a medium sized bed when we got our third toy poodle in 2016. The first two poodles have dug in the corners of this bed nearly daily since and it is still perfectly fine. The bed comes apart easily to clean and keeps the inner cushions clean while covering them. They are also washable if you have a doggy smell. Toy poodles don’t so we only washed them a few times after the dogs were sick. Every single part of this bed is like new despite being 9 years old and used every day. Not a stitch out of place, zippers are perfect, and the padding is still great too. The back is stiff enough that our fourth toy poodle often perches there. I highly recommend this bed.
