I hated the idea of having to wear compression hose, but when I found these, at least they were pretty. They come in 6 different colors, all floral. They are (relatively) easy to get on. I get compliments all the time. And they do help with the swelling. If you need to wear compression stockings, I can recommend these. Read more

Being a woman of a certain age, and knowing I had a lot of road tripping coming up, I ordered myself these compression socks a while back. I haven’t had problems with my legs that I’ve noticed, but I figured an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, right? I highly recommend that everyone start wearing these whenever possible starting at the age of, like, 16. They are like a hug for your legs. They just make life feel so cozy even if it isn’t. And? Being a woman of a certain age, I’m finding that my legs feel less tired when I wear them. I didn’t even realize my legs were feeling a little tired until I started wearing them and noticing that my legs feel less tired. So, I’m wearing them even when I’m not on a road trip is what I’m saying (I up the wow factor of the compression socks by wearing them with Tevas when we are driving for hours on end). My two teenage sons and I recently went on a business trip with my husband, but he had to stay one place and we had to stay in another. (I promise the socks are important to the story if you just hang in). The husband spent the first part of the first day with us before he had to go to his shindig. Leading up to the time when we had to leave to take him to the business part of this trip, he was out on the balcony, on the phone, dealing with a work issue. When he came back in, I said, “Well, you just wasted your last bit of making out time for the week.” One of my sons DIED. But not literally. Just, you know, the way a teenage boy dies when his parents say such things. “Oh, in that case,” the husband said as he put his arm around me, “Never mind boys. We aren’t leaving yet.” That son DIED some more. There was sputtering and stammering and wide eyes and exclamations of shock mingled with disgust and horror. The husband and I laughed and laughed and laughed some more at his reaction, but it really was time to go. “Let me take my compression socks off . . .” I started, and then the kid almost literally DIED. “What?!?!?!?!? NO!!!! Just no!!! Don’t!!! I can’t believe you two!!!!” he exclaimed as, I recall, he started to head out the door. Never did I anticipate that my kid would interpret my desire to undertake the unholy feat of awkwardness that is peeling off compression socks as some kind of overture for inappropriately timed “romance,” but there we were. “You didn’t let me finish,” I called after him. “Let me take my socks off so I can put my shoes on so we can go.” Because compression socks coupled with Tevas are only for long car rides and accompanying forays into gas station quickie marts. With that explanation, the kid swallowed back his panic (and probably a little vomit). Speaking of forays into gas station quickie marts, as we were walking across a gas station parking lot during a different leg of this road trip, toward the little store and its accompanying facilities, the same kid was all, “Your socks, mom!” “I wear them just to embarrass you,” I said. “It’s working,” he replied. “Come here,” I said as I tried to put my arm around him, “so that everyone can see you’re my son!” “Nooo!” he exclaimed as he ducked and ran just out of my reach. At this point we were walking in the door, so I made sure to point at my son and very uncharacteristically announce to no one and everyone as we did so, “He’s with me!!!” If you are of a certain age, get these socks, especially if you have Tevas and teenagers. The compression socks were great, except I ordered S/M. But in the package 2 of the socks were L/XL. Other than that these socks are wonderful. They are comfortable to wear and I love the whimsical design. I would give a 3.5 because I will only be able to use 4 of them instead of 6. But since I can’t and because of the comfort I give it a 4. Absolutely wonderful! I am heavily pregnant and walking around has caused me pain similar to the original little mermaid story just with a bonus perk of swelling. Doctor told me I needed compression socks and these looked great so I bought a pair to try them out. My size is XL and they fit perfectly, immediately after I put them on with the help of my husband I was in awe as my legs looked like their normal size for once. They feel so nice to and walking around in them has made me feel as good as I used to before I had a growing watermelon inside me. They are easy to put on but if you are heavily pregnant like me and showing a lot you might need some help. I bought the 5 pair black set with cute simple patterns and I'm planning on buying another set with a bunch of colors and cute designs because they are adorable and I love them, plus for only $16-$20 for up to 5pairs or even better 6 pairs of compressions socks is so much more affordable than the $25-$50 one that sell in my area, and you only get two pairs for it. Love the compression, patterns and fit of these socks. I think they’re great! Now, the bad news 😁 See photo. This happened today, I hadn’t noticed the amount of wear until I felt extra air on my right heel this afternoon. And then I saw a huge hole! I was like, geez, these socks aren’t that old. As a matter of fact, I purchased them almost 2 years ago to the DAY - 11/27/2023. I think they should last more than TWO YEARS. That’s why I gave them only 3 stars. This is the first pair of the set to develop a hole - we will see long the others last. Read more
