The media could not be loaded. This Bluetooth portable speaker does a good job of cranking out good quality audio, especially for its small size. I’ve used larger name brand portable speakers that can definitely deliver higher volume levels and more solid bass, but they aren’t nearly as small and portable as this one is. If you’re looking for a really portable solution that works well with a small group of people, this is a good solution. It’s small enough that it will easily fit in your suitcase or backpack, making it a great travel speaker. Pairing it was easy, and it reconnects to my iPhone quickly every time I power it up. If you’re not into flashing or pulsing LED lights, it’s very easy to disable them. The controls have good tactile feedback when you press them. My only complaints about this speaker are: 1) the buttons are molded into the rubber sides of the case, and they’re the same color as the surrounding material, so in low light conditions I find it nearly impossible to see the button icons, and 2) when you power up the speaker one of the things it announces is the battery level, but it doesn’t give a percentage remaining, so you only get less precise terms such as “Medium”. I would also like it if it announced the remaining power when you’re turning it off (because that’s when you would likely decide it would be good to plug it in to recharge), but I’ve found that most products that announce their battery level only do so during the power on cycle, so this shortcoming isn’t unique to this speaker. Overall I would say this is good choice for personal use or for small groups. It’s a good looking design, and it appears to be robustly built (most of the surfaces are protected by the shock absorbing rubber shell), and I appreciate that it recharges from a standard USB-C connector that doesn’t force me to bring along a custom power brick. This little speaker surpassed my expectations. The sound quality is excellent and the volume is surprising coming from such a small speaker. I hang it in the shower as well as using it outside where it has fallen on the ground more than a few times. The thick casing is excellent protection. I’m so glad I found this little speaker because it’s now my “go to” speaker over and above my other portable speakers. Read more
