We use this speaker all of the time around the house when we are cooking or doing chores - It's so easy to move around and connect to bluetooth, so it just moves with us. The sound quality is great and I like that I can set up my phone in the top part of the speaker if we are watching a show or something. The battery life is fair, but we will typically keep it plugged in since it dies within a few hours. Overall, the speaker feels like good quality in your hand is super durable. I am very impressed by how loud this speaker can get and am pleased with the product as a whole! Read more

I really wanted to love this little Bluetooth speaker, but it’s a mixed bag for me. First off, it doesn’t come with any instructions, so I had no idea what the pairing name was. With a million devices already connected to my phone, that was frustrating—but I eventually figured it out and got it paired. I got this thinking it would be great for our Sunday BBQs and for quiet mornings in the kitchen when everyone is still asleep and I'm up making breakfast. BIG mistake if you’re trying to keep quiet. The second you power it on, it blasts about 5 seconds of dark, ominous music at full volume, followed by a loud lady yelling “Bluetooth Moud” (I assume she means “Bluetooth Mode”) and then “CONNECTED!” It startled the whole house and even had the dogs looking at me like I’d lost my mind. Once connected, the sound quality is actually decent and it gets louder than my waterproof shower speaker. But the controls are confusing. The volume buttons don’t adjust the sound (which was why I chose this speaker)—they just skip songs. The play/pause button switches the speaker to “FM mode” with nothing but static, and I haven’t figured out how (or if) it actually tunes stations as it's not advertised as having FM radio capabilities. The description also says you can answer calls, but since there’s no microphone, the other person can’t hear you unless you disconnect the speaker and use your phone. On the plus side, it’s compact, gets loud, and the sound is clear for the size. It also comes with a (very short) charging cable. Overall, it works, but between the loud startup, odd controls, and misleading features, it’s not my favorite. Read more

Amazon invited me to review this as part of the Vine program. We popped the speaker out of the box, tossed aside the shortest, skinniest USBc/USBa cable, plugged it in to a charger, and noted the light next to the USBc charging port started flashing blue. It turned solid blue which I assume means it is fully charged. You got that right, bluetooth speakers must be so ubiquitous that instructions are no longer needed. There were none in the box. So we pressed the first button down and waited until it said it was in bluetooth mode, then released it. On the phone, it came up as model SE-T17 waiting to be paired and successfully paired. We then started playing music. It was loud, had a lot of bass, and somewhat acceptable fidelity. My wife is mainly going to use it to listen to audio books. It went off when she got about 30' away in another room of the house, apparently out of range. Meanwhile the lights were flashing away, but my wife went over and tapped button one on the top and it started switching patterns until eventually we even found an "off" pattern, good for us old folks. It is pretty lightweight, rated at 8 Watts, which is of uncertain meaning, and has a fabric carrying strap that would allow it to be attached or hung almost anywhere. The bass will be a bit louder if it's on a resonant surface like a tabletop. Ours has a blue and orange plastic hard shell, with rubber insert bars on the bottom, a plastic grid on the front, and an exposed bass port with a rigid center surrounded by flexible silicone-type material on the back. In addition to bluetooth connectivity, it has a slot for a microSD card and a USBa port for audio input. If it consumes a maximum of 8W at 5V, that would be a 1600ma draw, but the 1200mah battery is only rated for a 1200ma draw, so you wouldn't want to run it at over 75% on the battery, which should also avoid distortion. The battery life at half that (33%) would last about two hours, or more at lower volumes. It will however also run plugged in to a power source. While this speaker has a youthful vibe in concert with the photos provided in the description, it can be used by anyone who wants about 5x more sound than their phone can provide with moderate fidelity. One option is to use the slot on top of the speaker as a simple phone stand, so that your phone media sound comes out like a soundbar. I struck out trying to use the USB cable provided to connect it to my laptop, but that doesn't mean it's not also possible. Read more

I am really impressed with this budget friendly bluetooth device. Its easy to use and has amazing sound. The lowest setting has big sound and I wasn't comfortable turning it up all the way. The front of the device has multiple colors that flash and shift while music is playing. It is really fun to watch. There is an easy USB A charging cord, but no block/brick is included. So, a buyer must provide their own connection to the wall. The end for the device is a USB C, the type which is now becoming common, for perspective on which type (oval). I really like this bluetooth speaker and plan to purchase multiple devices. Read more
